Luna City

Luna City is the only Spacestation that orbits the Earth's Moon, Luna. The city is a tourism hotspot where visitors can see the sights of the Moon's craters, the bright neon and holographic lights, as well as the lush green parks and other recreational facilities. Luna City is also the home to many Celebrities, Government Officials and other members of upper-class societies.   Since its construction the station uses the same centrifugal, spinning method of generating gravity as Earth Station One (ES-1). However, in contrast to ES-1, Luna City is one large cylinder-shaped station. Now that Gravitech has developed Gravity Generating Systems, the station has been undergoing a massive renovation projects; such as businesses expanding their offices into skyscraper-like structures.  

Tourism

Luna City is the centre of entertainment. Many holiday-makers find their way into this grand establishment. In fact, people across the entire Solar System dream that one day they get to experience the high life of Luna City.  

Hotels

After the spacedocks, the Hotels are perhaps the first place tourists visit as they would need to check-in. Across the stations, multiple facilities for rest and relaxation. Hotels on Luna City are more than just places to sleep, but they are also places to eat, work out and be pampered in the countless restaurants, gyms and spas.  

Casinos

There are perhaps just as many casinos as there are restaurants in Luna City. Millions of people test their luck each day as they play games such as poker, blackjack and slots machines.  

Nightclubs

Nightclubs are popular also. In fact, these nightclubs are always open. Visitors of Luna City always enjoy the mixture of beverages the nightclub venues serve; like spirits, cocktails and whatever else quenches their thirst. There are a wide variety of nightclubs playing all kinds of music to suit everyone's taste. This is always at least one bar that one can enjoy.  

Parks

Often a quiet green space is what one needs. Decorating the wonderful spectacle of Luna City are large patches of grass, flowers; and even, trees, lakes and fountains.  

Moon Landings

The moon does not have a colony upon its surface. In fact, all requests to settle on the moon are denied by the NEA Colonisation Department. However, Luna City is given special allowances to provide services to visit the surface of the Moon. These Moon Landings are perhaps the most anticipated trip as many can make similar giant leaps as the great Neil Armstrong himself centuries ago. Moonwalkers are even allowed to take a piece of moon-rock home.  

The Earth Rise

The one thing people of Luna City do not get tired of is seeing the Earth Rise above the horizon of the Moon. In fact, this is a popular spot for couples to enjoy posing for pictures, especially after popping the question.  

Other Businesses

As well as pleasure, Luna City is the place for business. In fact, Luna City is the location of Head Quarters of about 400 companies including; DougEats, Gravitech and the Morley Shipping Company.  

Luna Stock Exchange & Banking

Luna City is also the central place of finance companies who trade over 1 trillion Energy Credits each day. Many of those who live in Luna City, either work in the tourism industry or the finance industry.  

Space Marinas

A mixture of tourism and commerce, Luna City has many spacedocks specialising in constructing, maintaining and keeping Spaceyachts. These are luxurious Spaceships, and with the new systems of generating gravity, the ships are even better as new designs are being crafted to increase the comfort of these spectacular ships.  

Law & Order

Luna City can be a joyous place to be, however with the rowdy merriment that can occur, the Luna Police are well equipped to ensure the safety of all those aboard the Spacestation. Luna City's Crime and Justice system is different to the rest of the Nations of Earth Alliance judiciary system, as Luna City is granted special powers to enforce the law and sentence criminals in their way.   Many would think that Luna City is strict, however with their regime Luna City has the lowest crime rate in the entire Solar System. In fact, they have a simple system of ensuring those who are aboard the station are safe, as all sentenced criminals are sent to the Asteroid Belt Detention Centres. No fines, no jails aboard Luna City.
