Albion
Home to the York Clan and the Reyes clique, Albion is a bastion of Federalist power within the Colonial Earth Empire. It has the highest concentration of non-solar peoples within the Panem Region, next to Fasaryr Prime.
It is an industrial and agricultural powerhouse, providing one fifth of the entire House of Axes' GDP. They buckle under the weight of their imperial lords, but House Dufort is happy to hold court over a majority of the city centers of the planet. In the rural highlands of the planet, large distilleries produce Albion Spirits, mostly whiskey and gin. These spirits are known all throughout the core systems.
The industrial barons each vie for power over the various mining shafts that dot the highlands of rural Albion. Various private military contractors hold these positions from quiet literal hostile takeovers. Many of these private companies have recruited directly from the House of Axes' house guard.
Life on Albion
Yorkdon
The largest industrial and urbanized center on Albion is the Yorkdon prefecture. It was originally founded by the York clan, centuries ago. Sprawling in size, and home to tens of billions. The industrial barons all live here in Yorkdon, carving up various neighborhoods and sectors for their own control. Caught in between the massive factories and industrial waste recyclers are the workers. The average Yorkdon denizen on a good day, probably dislikes the empire as a whole. Some of them might be patriotic to the House of Axes, or the Yorks, but rarely will you here the praise of the emperor in the local pubs or in the chakra dens. The Deeps
A couple of miles below the surface, the earth splits into massive crevices. Huge crystal formations of rare minerals like Malkite are the primary goal of the various industrial lords of the planet. Mining expeditions and exploratory ventures are regular and common place. Vast mining bases are home to millions of workers who spend months in the mines, working themselves to the bone. The empire has also taken an interest in the deeps, setting up prison mines and blacksites for Albion rebels. Massive creatures live deep near the core, and have been seen more regularly among the mining crews. These monsters are supposedly culpable in the creation of these massive caverns and have extensive psionic abilities. Some imperial research outposts have been set up to study the creatures, but these facilities are regularly attacked and overwhelmed. There is also rumored to be an ancient temple somewhere near the core of the planet that is of great interest to some of those within the Imperial Tribunal.Highlands
The rural highlands of Albion are dotted with countless cave networks that can span thousands of miles. There is a network of hidden resistance fighters that call these caves and hills home. They operate off of scraps they can peel away from robbing mining facilities or imperial outposts. They construct warplanes out industrial scraps, laser rifles out of household cookware and bombs out of farming equipment. The empire, along with the house of axes has struggled to keep a lid on the highland rebels. Every time they seem to close their grip tighter, more rebels spill out of the caves. They have even supposedly struck at orbital targets above Albion. Most of them fight for the Albion Republican Militia, or known as the Arm. They've been known to work alongside the Roses and the Partizans, who are using the highlands to store weapons and equipment they have been gathering from the core worlds.Ecosystem
Albion consists primarily of a green, humid and cold country side. Most of the population lives in Yorkdon Prefecture, a massive city that takes up roughly 1/8th of the entire planet's surface. The rest live among the mining towns that descend deep into rich planetary fissures that cut miles deep.
Long stretching rivers extend around the planet forming a network of gulleys and highlands in the rural areas. It is here where the infamous Albion independence fighters have made their home. Most of the food is grown in localized farms, maintained by massive autonomous drone networks.
