Of all of the spirits of Palabran, few have adjusted to urban life better than the colorful mayura. Appearing as a mixture between a human and a peacock, these vivacious spirits revel in the social opportunities that cities present. They are, above all, spirits of fashion, bombast, and spectacle.

General Features

Age. Mayura typically follow human aging conventions.
Size. Mayura are typically tall and slender, averaging between 6 and 7ft. Tall. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30ft.
Fanned Feathers. When a creature you can see makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the roll. You must use this feature before knowing whether the attack hits or misses.
Speak With Birds. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas with birds.
Striking Plumage. You have proficiency in the intimidation and persuasion skills.
Trance. You don’t need to sleep. Instead, you meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
