Late at night Strider, Avery, and Evelynn all hooked up to go scout out Helios 9. Together they learned a lot. Check inside for Strider's notes!


Helios 9, Built into a series of rocky cliffs amongst a series of canyons, doesn't directly touch the desert. Mostly sandstone surrounding it., Special badges are used to bypass turrets and sentry automatons. (Difficult to obtain, printed on-site), Much of the facility is underground., At least two radar stations, Infiltrated west radar station, liberated hard drive used this month & swapped with older one. Computer inside requires keycard access. (May be able to liberate keycard from sniper nest guards by sneaking through hatch. Securing sniper nest would gain significant advantage for engaging other forces from., Will need to bring drive to Luxor for reading data. ((More for flavor than played through in order to explain how this information was obtained. See below.)), Helios 9 was infiltrated by cultist agent and defenses sabotaged for takeover. Emergency signal was halted but still possible to send out. Other stations -- Lugh, Amaterasu, Sol likely compromised, Helios agent in contact with those mentioned above. See ⁠Luxor's Computer Terminal,   Multiple angles of approach:, Far eastern side comes across metal walkway, found it to be well-concealed. Strider advises this for main group approach by least-mobile, most-defended from turret fire. , Southeastern from canyon lands., Southern route goes to copper energy piping 15~ft off the ground, same for southwest; piping is active despite having hatches, would require specialized kit/non-organic beings shielded against energy in order to enter this. Provides cover when walking below., Southwest same as southern., Western most direct, most dangerous, will come within sight almost immediately of turrets and be underneath sniper nest. Also is near hatch into sniper nest.,   During mission approached from southern route, used collapsible ladder to scale cliffsides which provided cover & concealment from turret LoS when on top of them.   Turret LoS indicated by red scanning beams. Exterior lighting similar color; observe and be aware of this.   Armaments:, Anti-infantry turrets x2 (Immediate fire, do not get spotted at all costs), Anti-tank 'Tankbuster' turrets x2 (Delayed firing, massive damage), PlasCo Riotbreaker "Strikebreaker" mech, slightly broken-down but operational. May be modified to have lethal weaponry. Positioned near underground entrance., PlasCo E.M.Ployee, construction mech, no apparent dedicated weaponry but has heavy tool attachments and is large. Positioned near underground entrance.,   (Personnel list may vary depending on time of day) Anti-infantry guards x2 (Alert), Anti-tank guards x2 (Alert), Three sniper nest guards (Reduced alertness)
