Session 3 - Dinner with the Queen Report

“There are things I wish to know and I believe.. That you wish to ask of, I think it best we exchange. I will ask my questions to you, some may need all of you to answer, others may be answered by any of you. And then.. You may ask of me any questions you may have and I shall give you what I know, I will swear to complete honesty and I do hope you .. reciprocate, know I am not foolish my vowing may mean nothing to you but I can distinguish that you are also not… senseless. Does this seem fair to you?” - Queen Liacathia Degna   The session begins as the Queen is escorting the party to the intimate dining room inside the Gold Leaf Inn. The party sit with the Queen Liacathia and she ask them if she may give them questions to answer first and then they may ask questions of her and the party agrees. The Queen seems particularly interested in their lives before entering their world, the questions she asked are as follows: Where have you come from?
  You seem like what we call in our world a ‘tet variant’, I recognise some of you as familiar species from our world but the rest of you I have never seen before. I myself am a Tetkalt. Here you would be known as Tetrusk (Elly) and Tetshall (Craig) but what exactly are you?
What is a human, do you possess special qualities? Like your ears being smaller you can hear quieter sounds or does your height and build make you hardier like the Tetshall?
How did you come to find Solime? Were you searching for it or was it by accident like Ernest?
Why are you here?
What is your world like for each of you? Is it different or are you from the same place?
How do you get back? Or are you staying here?
  So are you saying our world exists in a waterfall pool or am I misinterpreting?
There are other worlds out there, yes? Besides yours?
Do you intend to travel amongst our world as peacefully as it wills?

Concluding her questions the Queen opens the floor to the party to ask questions of her, the party asked questions about: The Mother
A. The Queen informed the group of the worlds same belief/faith in the deity known as the Mother, she also retold to her ability of the creation story and a brief history of the split.
The Regions
A. She informed of the group of the several different regions that make up Solime. The mountains holding their city of Dora, The sands that house the Outpost of Barsil, The forests that hide the settlement known as Fangano, The rivers that hold the City of Venzor, The marshes where the vigilant live in Moressley and The grasslands that are made up of the Ozero Spire, the Holy Capital Laenteglos and the previous village of Vazae.
The Taint in the creatures
A. The Queen was very clear that the study of the taint is not of her specialty and she knowns there are scholars in Ozero that research the Split and that they would have more information than her. She has not seen a 'taint' physically but she is aware of the hostile behavior most creatures have now adopted, she also advises you that they were not this way before the Dark Day.
If the city needed hired protection
A. The Queen informed you that there are no enemies of Dora, matter of fact there are no enemies amongst any region. Occasionally there may be petty rivalry but nothing that concerns herself or others, the people of Solime are not violent individuals, they don't believe in taking the lives of other citizens or putting folk at risk from another's hand.
About the currency in this world
A. Liacathia informed the party of the worlds currency, Senge. She told them that the physical currency here is exchanged from gems found in the sands of Barsil. She also gifted each member a credit of 50 Senge to spend in the cities stores before they are to venture out.
How the food interacts with people
A. She was slightly amused and befuddled with this question, noting that all the 'ingredients' of the world come from the earth and the earth is the Mother so all things have properties or magic and when prepared correctly you can manipulate or discover the outcome that they provide.
Where she was from/personal history
A. The Queen told the group she was born in Ozero, she studied Politics and Species, she married the King after being an advisor for the city for sometime.
The running/ruling of Ozero
A. The party asked if Ozero had a monarchy similar to that of Dora and she explained that is more a communal living situation, the people living in there communities by specialization wing/class, if decisions must be made there is a council that is comprised of the oldest or the adept of the spire and they convene to discuss it then hold a vote with the city.

After questions draw to an end the Queen indicates for dinner to be served, the party are met with silver plates containing pieces of Rock Wren egg. She introduces them for there symbolism amongst the community here and waits in anticipation to see if the party will accept her cities gift to them.
Once the group has eaten the fermented eggs they discover their properties hold that of strength and each member gets and +7 increase to their AC for the next 3-4 days.
Concluding dinner the party have informal drinks together in the parlor before most members depart to bed. Staying up, Craig and Gilderam get an introduction to the night in Dora.
Winged creatures flood the sky outside near covering the stars, a beast stops at the windows of the establishment, appearing foul looking but not recognisable in the dark. It speaks to the two men exclaiming that "Nicodemus does not rest" before disappearing into the darkness among its flock.

The party awake the next day to join Less Lyler in a tour of the city to do some shopping and meeting Durlosk Linlow who will accompany them to the sand district. The party acquire a map of the city and stop at all stores in the city and one of the outer peak - farming.
After collecting some items the party are taken into the castle walls with help/intervention of the current advisor of Dora, Barath Parath. Arriving at Linlow Legacy Jewelcraft the party look around the show room before being introduced to Durlosk Linlow, the current royal jeweler, he seems quite shy and unprepared for their visit but is kind and as accommodating as he can be. He tells the party of the journey he must take to find the perfect gemstones for the new princess's announcing jewel set and that this is his first trip to the sand district. He says he will see the party in the morning of the next day at the carriage out of the city and the session ends.
