Rutger Van der Linden

After Rutger had the Anti-Aging treatment of the Googirls, he was fit and agile again. With a young body and no health issues, he is at his prime in physical standards.

Younths

Rutger Van der Linden was born on May 25, 1971, as the third child in the prominent Van der Linden family. Growing up in an environment of considerable wealth, Rutger's upbringing was marked by both privilege and discipline. His father, a stern yet visionary figure, ensured that Rutger was exposed to a wide array of hobbies and academic fields throughout his youth. This diverse exposure was aimed at cultivating a well-rounded character and intellect in Rutger, reflecting his father's belief in the importance of versatility and adaptability.   From an early age, Rutger exhibited a keen intellect and remarkable planning skills. His aptitude for strategic thinking and problem-solving became evident in various academic and extracurricular activities. These qualities guided his decision to pursue higher education in business, leading him to enroll at the University of Pennsylvania.   During his years at the university, Rutger's intellectual curiosity and strategic acumen flourished. It was also during this period that he developed a profound interest in tabletop games, particularly Warhammer 40k. This hobby not only provided a creative outlet but also honed his tactical and analytical skills. Engaging deeply with the intricate lore and complex gameplay mechanics of Warhammer 40k, Rutger found a unique intersection between leisure and intellectual challenge. This passion became a significant time investment and a source of personal enjoyment and social interaction, reflecting his ability to balance intense academic pursuits with recreational interests.  

Young Adulthood

During his university years, Rutger met his first true love, Elli Martens. Their relationship blossomed during their time at the University of Pennsylvania, where they shared common interests and ambitions. Rutger completed his studies in 1998, and the couple married the following year in 1999, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Rutger's life.   After graduating, Rutger embarked on his professional journey within the various companies owned by the Van der Linden family. Demonstrating a keen strategic mindset and adaptability, he deliberately switched roles and companies every few years. This approach allowed him to gain a broad spectrum of experience across different fields and positions, enhancing his understanding of the family's diverse business operations.   Rutger's capabilities did not go unnoticed. His uncle, who was the Patriarch of the family at the time, recognized Rutger's potential and began considering him as a potential successor. This period of Rutger's career was characterized by significant personal and professional growth, as he prepared to take on greater responsibilities within the family's business empire.   In 2005, Rutger and Elli welcomed their first child, Johan, into the world. The birth of their son brought immense joy and added a new dimension to Rutger's life, balancing the demands of his burgeoning career with the joys of fatherhood. Four years later, in 2009, their family expanded further with the birth of their daughter, Femke.   Tragically, Rutger's life took a devastating turn in 2010 when his son Johan and wife Elli were involved in a fatal car accident. This profound loss marked a period of immense personal sorrow for Rutger. He began taking care of Femke as a single dad.  

Patriarch

In the wake of the tragic loss of his wife and son, Rutger Van der Linden demonstrated remarkable resilience. Despite the profound personal challenges he faced, he quickly regained his composure, effectively managing both his professional responsibilities and his role as a single father to his daughter, Femke. To balance these demands, Rutger delegated many of his tasks to trusted assistants, allowing him to reduce his workload and dedicate more time to caring for Femke.   In 2012, Rutger's capabilities and leadership qualities were formally recognized when his aging uncle appointed him as the Patriarch of the Van der Linden family. This role placed him at the helm of the family's extensive business empire, a position he embraced with strategic acumen and foresight. Over the ensuing years, Rutger successfully steered the family's businesses through various economic landscapes, demonstrating his adeptness at managing complex enterprises and adapting to changing market dynamics.   The year 2017 marked a significant turning point in the world with the emergence of Slimea on the global stage, accompanied by the appearance of demi-humans. This development piqued Rutger's interest on multiple levels. On one hand, his fascination was driven by a personal, almost nerdy curiosity, reminiscent of his long-standing passion for strategic games and alternate realities. On the other hand, Rutger recognized the potential business opportunities that these new developments presented.   Beginning in 2019, Rutger started to invest in the Queendom of Slimea, seeing it as a land of untapped potential and opportunity. He worked diligently to forge connections with various key figures within the country, aiming to establish a strong presence and influence in this emerging market. In 2020, Rutger undertook the Anti-Aging Treatment from the Googirls and received back a young and healthy body.  

Amusement Park Manager

Rutger Van der Linden's fascination with Slimea and the fun new possibilities it offered led to a conclusion for him: the creation of an amusement park. This concept was not merely an extension of his personal interests but also a strategic business venture that aimed to capitalize on the growing public curiosity and acceptance of these new species.   To bring this vision to life, Rutger began recruiting members from various new species, as well as skilled hunters. His efforts were not confined to recruitment alone; recognizing the legal complexities involved, he initiated negotiations with the American government. These discussions were aimed at securing special privileges for his park, which would allow many species of monster girls to utilize their abilities within the confines of the park, activities that were largely prohibited in other parts of the USA.   After extensive planning and negotiation, Rutger's vision became a reality in 2022 with the official founding of the Droomwereld Foundation. Construction commenced in his home city of Philadelphia. The project was a massive undertaking, involving not only the physical construction of the park but also the integration of various species and the creation of a completely new park style. The park officially opened its gates to the public in 2025.   During these transformative years, Rutger also expanded his household by welcoming two new members. Hazel Piper, a googirl, was recruited as his personal and closest assistant, bringing unique skills and perspectives that greatly aided Rutger in managing his diverse responsibilities. Additionally, recognizing the importance of support and companionship for his daughter, Femke, Rutger brought Zoe Atlanos, a Curaphia, into their lives. Zoe's role was pivotal in providing care and guidance to Femke, ensuring she had a nurturing presence during Rutger's frequent engagements with his professional commitments.

Rutger Van der Linden holds a high level of education, having earned his diploma with excellent results in business studies from the University of Pennsylvania. His academic achievements at this prestigious institution provided him with a strong foundation in business principles and strategic management.   Following his formal education, Rutger has remained committed to continuous learning through various means, including specialized courses, private tutoring, and self-education. This dedication to lifelong learning has allowed him to stay informed about industry trends and innovations, further enhancing his professional capabilities and leadership within the Van der Linden family's business empire.

After Rutger finished his studies, he worked in many different companies of the Van der Lindens' business empire. Today, he is leading the family businesses as the Patriarch of the Van der Linden family. His main project is the Droomwereld Foundation and the amusement parks they operate.

Rutger has a massive network of connections to business partners. But only a few can be called true friends—one of these rare friends is Gerald Bebeau. The two share many interests and their common markets in Slimea.   After a meeting with Fenja Kinderwunsch, Rutger formed a friendship with her. He enjoys having her in one of his parks, and even invites her from time to time to his parties to give them a little extra fun.

As the Patriarch of the Van der Linden family, Rutger has to manage many family ties with the branches of the massive family. While he has friendly connections with many, some also see him as a blockage to their own influence, and many want his position for themselves.   Rutger has a tight connection to his daughter Femke Van der Linden. For him, he will always be his little girl, and he pampers her heavily with everything she desires. Additionally, he has his two assistants that help him massively with his job and managing everything: The Curaphia Zoe Atlanos and the Googirl Hazel Piper.
