Ilmater
Ilmater, He Who Endures, is a divine entity in Sirasea. Their preferred aspect is neither male or female (what we would know as nonbinary), but is often depicted with masculine characteristics. He is an empyrean, a child of Ides, born of their blood as they walked through a patch of briars to rescue a lost child. Many places of worship for Ides also have shrines to Ilmater.
They travel the continents of Sirasea, lifting the spirits of the oppressed and suffering and aiding with their burdens. Like Hekate, they remained behind when the planes were sealed. The two often travel together, with Ilmater appearing as a frail old man who walks slowly with a cane, or a child with a bandaged eye or arm. He encourages mortals endure suffering and tragedies in their own lives so that they might one day also experience joy and comfort, and alleviate pain and misfortune wherever possible for others. While they generally discourage violence, they are particularly outraged by deliberate harm brought to the vulnerable (e.g. the young, elderly, ill, and animals) and empower adventurers who defend the defenseless and seek justice for them.
He is the parent of Loviatar, a divine child born to him through Daris.
