Colony Re-Invades Kotabalon

Sources reveal that the Colony has made landfall again for the 4th time in Southern Kotabalon. Occupying the port of Tungkulin, the Colony has set up a perimeter and is slowly making its way block by block through the buried city. Casualties are already mounting on both sides as fighting continues in extremely close quarters. The winds of Habagat hammer the city relentlessly, preventing safe travel over it. Babaylan Aoanan sent word via Pelican that the resistance is entrenched and that every inch of soil will be red with colonizer blood before ceding the island. The Colony spokesperson in Kaylahon indicated that the savage tactics of the natives on Kotabalon were those of cowards and were only delaying the inevitable.

Mayon Erupts will Record Breaking Force Once Again

For the fifth consecutive eruption, Mayon on the island of Talunan has broken records for the force of explosion and amount of lava. Experts at the Great Forge in Iraga estimate that the structures are still able to withstand this level of lava flow, however if the trend continues enormous structural damage could be expected.

Radio Silence from Taonglupa

The Kandayan village has suddenly dropped off the map, and attempts to reach the village have been met with disappearing couriers and lost pelicans.  The settlement known for its gold production is a key part of the Island’s economy and has been eyed by both Colony and the Free Islands Alliance as a major priority. The Datu at Pahinga vowed to investigate.

The Pirate King Strikes Again

With a daring raid across the Colony Naval Blockade, a captain who has adopted the moniker King of Pirates has captured three Galleons and successfully ran an enormous shipment of exotic beasts and furs out of the  island of Nasirakna heading South. His wearabouts are currently unknown, but Colony Admiral Garcez vows for revenge. The furs are likely bound for fences throughout the islands, and the beasts are most likely to be brought to an exotic animal market, which are rumored to illegally operate on smaller islands off of the main Island settlements.
