Social Issues in Sina Una
Issues
The people of the islands of Sina Una are obviously being confronted with the advent of Colonialism.
As a result of this, society is becoming racially stratified on occupied islands as Colony forces are homogenously Human.
There is also the question of environmental impact of Colony activities including development of mining and shipbuilding infrastructure.
This, combined with the proselytizing of the Holy Trinity Missionaries is causing a shift away from beliefs in the spirits of nature, both angering and weakening the power of these spirits as they begin to receive less offerings.
Finally the introduction of new technologies impacting economy in the islands (horses, modes of mass production, etc) are creating a moment of fragility, as the traditional idea of economic class was previously absent on the islands but the question of private ownership of capital is beginning to emerge.
