Aya

Aya is a beatiful albeit highly spirited and manipulative young woman. She does sleep with the king and has a son Huma. Huma her son ends up sleeping with one of the young women in the King's Harem of Lost Maidens. The young woman's name is Sukir.   Eventually Aya goes into the king who is glad to take her into his bed though he does not enjoy her personality or nature and he does not ask for her again. She does become the mother of Huma who has dark hair like the king. She is also because of her grace and seductiveness and aloofness which much impresses the king because, though he does not like her, he remembers her and could not resist her in spite of it. During their time together this impacts him.   Because the king remembers her for her not being impressed with him, yet being so seductive and so aloof eventually she is given charge of mentoring another young woman who is about the age of her son Huma. Huma is fourteen by now and he grows up near the young woman. Aya knows that the king will never call her back in again and she knows that her son will never make it as a prince or noble person and she allows the young ones time alone. During this time Huma becomes intimate with the young lady though none of the eunuchs ever know nor notice. She is the one who is to be sure that the young woman Sukir is a virgin when she goes into the king. She simply does not check and sends her to the king already defrocked by her son. Sukir is turned away from the king’s chamber immediately and Aya and her son are both thrown into the dungeon separately. Sukir is also thrown into the dungeon separately. The animals of the dungeon are the justice system of Azure and of Scarlet. In Scarlet if an an animal does not kill, they assume that the gods have chosen the person for leadership. The peoples of Azure do not like to be near or approach or see a dead body, so they make the dungeons dark and they leave the beasts in there to forage as they will. The side of the dungeons that is adjacent to the palace or the harem are covered with great stones to keep the beasts and the stench out. There are supposedly ways out through the back of the caves and caverns but the palace does not concern itself with blocking these. If those put in the dungeons can survive the beasts they are left as forgotten ones. So Sukir, Aya and Huma all have their separate fates in the dungeon.       Shumana and her son Hura also become offensive to the king but for a different reason. Shumana is a virgin when she goes into the king and her son Hura looks like the king even with his dark wavy hair. They will share the fate of being exiled to the dungeon, but will go there for different reasons. She will be accused of bringing in the red leathers of Scarlet into the king’s harem. The red leather is that of the shrine prostitutes of Scarlet. Shumana is an excellent head of the harem and she has brought many wonderful women to the king and helped him sire many princes who have gone out into the provinces, but once this iniquity of the red leather becomes evident he sends her out reluctantly, not wanting her to leave but also being bound by his own oath to never let the red of scarlet taint his harem. It needs to be discovered which woman bore the red leather or how she and Shumana came into alliance. Perhaps there is a connection here with Sheena? Her mother is Lady Korleva who is Petrak’s stepmother. Her father is actually Adam of the valley of the Az flower. Perhaps Sheena has been captured when she goes down into Under trafficked unintentionally by her own step brother who is trying to earn his guildsman’s papers by being a deliverer. Sheena has kept the red leather not knowing what it signifies as it has been brought into the tent where she and her mother sold garments and where she trained as a seamstress. She has very thick black hair that goes down to her feet almost and is glorious. The red leather that she wove as she sat with her mother was the only thing strong enough to hold her hair. It was braided from long strands of the leather a long scarlet cord that she had labored many hours on weaving it in with strands of silk with the red leather as the central piece, this is just a piece of scrap leather that she found discarded at the back of her mother’s shop and she has no knowledge of what it is, her mother does not ever see that she has rescued it from the discard pile as it is covered with silk by the time she first sees it. The king cuts the band with his dagger to let her glorious hair fall all around her and does not notice the band leaving it on the ground. The king’s attendant notices it after their encounter and brings it to the king’s attention. So Sheena must also be exiled from under and she will not know why. Meanwhile she has connected with Lukim and her brother Petrak has also connected with Lukim so there is a future there if she can survive. The timing of her exile is important also. She will probably have been in her training at the time that she meets lukim and be about to go to the king as her hair is long and she is clearly still in favor with the king. Aya will also be in training at this time. This leaves about a 14 year period for Aya’s son Huma to grow up and become intimate with Sukir before Aya is exiled. The timing of Hura’s exile has to be such that he ends up training with Lukim in battle school so this must happen quite a few years before. So Shumana will need to have been with the king had a son, had 14 years to raise him and then have this son escape from the dungeon and make his way to battle School, meet Lukim and then go through battle school. By the time Shumana has fallen out of favor with the king over the Sheena incident, Hura will have become pretty skilled in battle school but she will realize that he must be rescued before word gets there that he must be killed as her son. So Hura was on a path to greatness but his only rescue is to come back and become a voluntary eunuch. He does not volunteer himself but his mother gets him into the situation, before she herself is exiled. When she sees him, it is the last thing that she does before being exiled into the dungeon. She uses the red leather itself to send the message to Hura through the Cripple who is also named 123. So what remains to be seen is what happens to Shumana after she leaves Hura as a eunuch and leaves the room. Also to be discovered is what happens to Aya and her son Huma. Also to be discovered is what happens to Sheena.
