Xarius - Beyond God of Greed

General

The Law Bearer of Greed and rumored Niwarves or Snow Beard in his ancestry. Xarius was said to be so greedy that his teeth would turn gold from his want for more coins. However, much beyond that is unknown as similar to Darali, Logulthis, and other Law Bearers, they have little to no record of them prior to The First Age’s history.

Domain

Avarice, with this as his dominant domain, many who follow Xarius are noted to have their teeth turned to gold as a sign of dedication and sacrifice. It is said no other god has once stepped upon the domain of Avarice for fear of the golden maw devouring them whole.
 

Races that Follow

The Frost Jotun and Snow Beards are both common followers of Xarius ever since Grand Regin Uthem began serving him. With Uthgarm embracing the general belief of Xarius within all his lands even while quietly worshipping other entities. While the frost jotun followed Uthem Grunaga’s own dedication, and began before raids offering up bits of wealth in hopes of easy and wealthy targets.
 

Preferred Item

Xarius is said to grant his gift to his followers through their worship of gold as a representation of greed. Thus anything covered in gold in the hands of one of his worshippers should be treated as a holy item of power.
 

Church/Pantheon

None though a singular church is being built within Hrimpursar’s Last Hold at the request of Grand Regin Uthem Grunaga. As for pantheons, no known gods dare to stand in Avarice due to fear of what it would mean. For those in Avarice must always seek greater fortunes of those above, and thus eliminate those below.
 

Holy Order

None for most of the followers of Xarius are merchants or nobles who prefer business to war. Thus a holy order has yet to be needed in his service.
 

Champion

Grand Regin Uthem Grunaga, a powerful mage and devoted servant of greed. It is said that Uthem’s greed is so strong that he has yet to even achieve a portion of his goals and thus none of his teeth have been forged into gold.
 

Symbol

Golden Teeth, that the more they offer or gain for the church, the more teeth turn gold. Notable followers will even carry extra teeth on their person to allow for more gold to be sacrificed.
