The Moon Lord

A gargantuan creature described to have long tentacles made of iron, each tipped with spears that were sharper than even a vorpal blade. The creature had two large wings that were said to have a similar span to a red adult dragon, and a large as well as slightly exposed brain that seemed to slightly pulse as the creature used its psionic abilities.

Temperament

Known to be a refined and skilled hunter, this creature seems to prey on anything and everything it wants. There is no reasoning with a beast, only noting that creatures that it sees as a predator will leave it alone. Or if the risk is too great for even a beast can understand its own survivability.

History

The Moon Lord stands as one of the few creatures that no researcher has bothered to truly study. What we do know is that it only hunts at night, the creature is said to have single handedly wiped out the species that once inhabited its territory. The creature is extremely territorial and with no willingness to speak to anyone, few have managed to get near the creature. In its first years of discovery, it was noted as having managed to conquer many of the other smaller hives of mooncalves. It is now numbering in the hundreds with many of its descendants having grown to sizes only slightly smaller. The creatures breed quite quickly for their size. Though what few researchers who have come to study the creature believe is true, is that its great size is actually an evolutionary difficulty, and thus the offspring are following in their mothers’ genes rather than the fathers. Making for a unique discovery leading many to believe that mooncalves and The Moon Lord may be the missing link of humanoids to Cthulutian.
