The Iron Flock
Organization Name:
The Iron Flock, The Nine Knights of Gold, The Looney Dragon Knights.Organization Category:
MercenaryOrganization Specialization:
Training the greatest weapons masters the world has ever known.Sigil:
The nine avion guilds portrayed with just the headshots of the birds surrounding a large draconic beast of solid gold scales and emerald eyes. Each bird seems to be displayed with a side profile looking toward the center. While the background is a mixture of weapons laid upon one another and all pointing toward the center of the sigil.Notably, the traitors instead choose to replace the draconic beast in the center with a bloody version of their guilds symbol. It is said to be a ploy on the idea that the “Bird slew the great Dragon”.
Owner:
Currently there is no elected leader from amongst the nine guilds. Some believe this is due to the fact that the guilds have yet to raise a member powerful enough to defeat each leader. Others due to the prophecy that states “Only those born from strife can claim the Iron Flock once more”. Truthfully we are unsure which is the case but likely a mixture of both is to be expected.Founder:
The Iron Asi also known as the first Normac’Asi from the Southern Unification Wars. Given this nickname for his thick iron armor he wore on the battlefield. Normac’Asi would spend night and day forging strange magical items in hopes of making the prophecy of his clan come true. A supposed group of knights that would forever bend the knee to the Asi clan. While The Iron Asi would gain his wish, upon his unfortunate demise the guilds would never again serve the Asi clan. As none of the Asi golden branch could ever live up to The Iron Asi’s madness nor military prowess.Subsidiaries:
Though once there was rumored to actually be thirteen guilds, now only nine stand in current times. Those below make up the Iron Flock and its powerful influence on the global scale. The Falcon’s Devourers
The furthest ranging, the trusted scouts and the most honorable of thieves. All are titles that The Falcon Devourers have been referred to as when speaking of them. Commonly called the “Poor Man’s Guild” for their willingness to accept thieves and those wanted by the law. The Falcon’s Devourers will never go back on a deal once struck in blood but all others are said to fall to gold.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the Tiger Claw Discipline and the only known guild to prefer dual wielding weapons over any form of defense. Commonly seen with hammers, knives, maces and swords, the guild teaches its members to always have a weapon in the offhand. With quick and almost ambidextrous movements, few recognize the true art of their fighting style. To the untrained eye it looks almost like a bull charging a target and unleashing a fury of blows that go on without concern.Magic Item:
Owners of the Hoard Devourer, a magic weapon that changes its appearance based on the wielder. Truly just a sheath made from the heart of an ancient mimic, this weapon is said to have four colorations indicating its strength. From a platinum blade down to copper blade, with gold and silver in between, Hoard Devourer is truly a frightening weapon. For the more valuables it is fed, the stronger and more brilliant it becomes. Though as The Falcon’s Devourers would later learn, this item did not come without its downsides. As not only will it devour an entire Hoard Dragon it has slain before you can get close. It also seems to drive its wielder into an intense greed, forever seeking out greater wealth the more powerful it becomes.Led by:
Saint Ginger “The Storm Bearded Lion”, a well known commander and accomplished general from the Three Pillar Wars. Having led fourteen successful raids on both Dragon Lord and Fire Jotun supply lines. Many believe that Saint Ginger may truly be a saint of Ked-Liz’s as he claims.Founder
Baaz “The Feebled” of clan Fa, a white and stubby ice koboldkin who was said to be quite quick with a blade. However, his lack of wit or ability to learn always left him as a disappointment. Unfortunately as his family had sent him to the Asi clan to serve and learn, when the time came to return his own clan had refused. Without a clan Baaz would instead join the clan Asi as a Dragon Knight. Though upon his first day of service it is said that he was struck upon the head by a falling brick from the tops of Dragon’s Crown’s own castle towers. At which point he had been reborn as a simpleton who could not speak nor learn anything new. However in exchange his fighting style with a short sword and a mace became undefeatable. Acting as if the two weapons were nothing more than extensions to his own body. He became a master that while he could not understand what teaching was, he was able to pass on many of his lessons through demonstration.Location
A few miles north of Diamond’s Death on Drafika stands a small hill with a stronghold that runs deep into the underground. Made from plain stone, the castle known as Falcon’s Rest is easily missed without a mage. With a vast dark forest surrounding it, glittering oozes traversing throughout its outer territory, truly the land around it is near inhospitable. The Treasured Herons
Given their name for their love of glimmering gemstones, The Treasured Herons keep their symbol of a ruby or sapphire heron close to their chest. Proudly displaying it upon any breastplate or leather jerkin. The mark of The Treasured Heron is welcome in any market or merchant stall for it usually is shown alongside a large amount of wealth. For only members who have managed to gain a small fortune are said to be allowed to join.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
The Mythril Serpent Discipline is said to be the most treasured fighting style of The Treasured Herons. However, it is believed that they are actually the second cycle of this guild with many of its members having died during a plague. Regardless, the fighting style specializes in mixing spear fishing with an off handed net for grappling. As the two combine, an opponent easily finds themselves netted and stabbed before even landing a blow. Having mastered spears, polearms, guisarmes, quarterstave, tridents and nets. It should be noted that while fighting, many members prefer to cut away valuables first before finally slaying their target. Having a desperate love for gold and gems that seems to lead to many unnecessary mistakes.Magic Item:
The Treasured Golem is a well known training dummy, instructor and overall archivist. Said to have been made from the corpse of a powerful Hoard Dragon that The Iron Asi slew prior to The Southern Draconic Unification war. The golem is said to have a living soul of an ancient creature that only seeks to teach and watch the world. Thus with its natural awareness few have ever managed to attempt stealing the item. However, it is said that the item's downside is that it must “attune” to a singular individual. This individual gives up their remaining lifespan in exchange for the golems' continued service. It is believed should the service ever be stopped, a great plague of violence would be let out upon the world.Led by:
Vesk’Rarask of Hive Scale Breaker and the twenty third leader of the guild since its founding. Vesk’Rarask is said to be a member of the same hive that swore fealty to the ancient Asi clan. Serving as the latest iteration of the hive many emissaries over the years. Vesk’Rarask is said to be the fastest warrior of his station since its founding. Few can doubt Vesk’Rarask after his easy defeat of Llhaah in singular combat thirty years ago. Especially for one who fought with trident and net against a foe who had mastered mana techniques well beyond any others understanding at the time.Founder
Char’Resk of Hive Scale Breaker, a strange dromite-like creature that was said to be a variant of the ancient ThriKreen. Sent as an emissary to the Asi clan from The Deep Dark, Char’Resk was noted to show incredible intelligence and self awareness. While supposedly still linked to its hive, Char’Resk spent many of his days learning about the draconic cultures of the world. Until finally the call would come and Char’Resk out of curiosity would volunteer to teach his hive's ancient fighting style. Eventually while Char’Resk would manage to slay a single Hoard Dragon himself, he would fall to the army at The Battle of Little Creek.Location
At the end of The Twin Queens rivers north of The Emerald Mountain is said to be a beautiful gemstone castle that glimmers in the sunrise each morning. Known as Scale Breaker Bay, the stronghold is built into the large twin rivers mouth. With each side of it being a stronghold in its own right, the vast bridge between them that allows merchants pass, is said to be near impregnable. The Dire Geese Guild
Known once as “Those who refuted surrender”, The Dire Geese Guild is well respected by most nations for its immense fighting power. Though sworn to the ruler of Dragon’s Crown, the guild still manages to hold its own on a global scale. With many of its members serving the other Dragon Lords, few are so well informed as The Dire Geese Guild. Known for fighting with the cruelest and most heinous weapons and armor, the guild is said to be nearly as feared as The Frost Furys of The Snow Beard Kingdom. Interestly enough, these two groups, that being The Frost Furys and The Dire Geese Guild. Have been said to have had a growing rivalry since the first minor skirmishes between the dragon houses and The Snow Beard Kingdom. Causing both to continuously seek each other out and do battle, the current “score” is Lesser Clan Frost Fury forty two slain, The Dire Geese Guild near two hundred and four slain.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the Devoted Spirit Discipline, The Dire Geese Guild is well known for its absolute hatred for all things evil. With a master of spiked gauntlets, morning stars and cruel weapons such as spiked nets. The guild of The Dire Geese are considered one of the most feared non national powers in the world. For those who do evil will always fear the cruel bite of the goose.Magic Item:
The Armor of Riches or that is what the item was named by Normac’Asi “The Iron Asi” upon his granting it to the guilds founder. Though in truth, an item that would cause The Iron Asi to despise The Dire Geese Guild. While healing one's wounds to near perfection, the armor is said to devour valuables such as coins, gems or even paintings in exchange. Thus The Dire Geese Guild were forebayed from ever joining their master in battle, instead always forced to where the fighting would be cruelest and most difficult.Led by:
Toryo Blackadder “Mountain Slayer”, the current leader of the guild and a powerful storm beard. Toryo is said to have managed to slay nearly thirty two mountain giants in his youth when they attempted to raid his village. However, when asked when that was, no response is ever given. Instead while he recounts the tale of the deed, he would show an illusionary cloud that played out the scene for one to watch. As the small and young storm beard would manage to defeat each of the darkened and cloudy beasts, his spiked gauntlets would begin to glow. Until finally he managed to slay them all and none but he stood as a glowing ember in the darkness. The illusion would vanish and the heavily armored figure would go back to being silent as he busied himself with work. His eyes and expressions forever hidden under his heavy helm designed to look like a large Arcticmane.Founder
Mor’silm a koboldkin dragonkin that was said to be nearly as tall as a goliath without his armor. Mor’silm was said to be from a clan of brown dragons that had been long since wiped out. His family having abandoned him due to his natural albino coloration which would eventually lead to him being captured and sold into slavery. While serving the Asi clan, they would find out about Mor’slim’s actions against a few corrupt guards. And once the request came through, few were surprised to see the young dragonkin summoned and armored. For none could state that Mor’silm was not a good individual, going even so far as to take an oath to “wipe out all evil in the cruelest form possible”.Location
Currently residing inside Dragon’s Crown near the inner keep. The guild has a large training yard and barracks building made of solid marble that can make it quite hard to miss. It is said that those who serve as the Dragon Knights of Dragon’s Crown have all trained within the guild. While the guild itself is said to be made up of mostly dragons, koboldkin and storm beards. The Wisest Owls
Known to be one of the more feared guilds on the continent of Crakec. The Wisest Owls are known for their vast collections of mana techniques, artifacts, and ancient scrolls of forgotten world history. Rumored to even know the truth of what had caused the three traitors to turn against the others.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Masters of the Stone Dragon Discipline, the Wisest Owls are said to be masters of siege warfare. Though not the original founders of the fighting style, they would adopt it upon slaying the last of the turtle-like beastfolk that had taught them. With The Wisest Owls using long swords, great swords, bastard swords and great rapiers, they have managed to blend mana techniques and martial techniques for the perfect strategy. Allowing them to harden their skin, headbutt individuals with their shields, or unleash a flurry of blows with perfect perrying. The Wisest Owls are near undefeatable once they begin fighting.Magic Item:
The Tools of the Craft are said to be a set of tools originally made from the Hoard Dragon hearts of three powerful members of clan Urehe. The tools are said to each be gem encrusted and glimmering with gold or silver handles. Each tool grants its user the knowledge of all who came before and all who will possess it after. In exchange, each item is said to slowly tear away at a living memory. The memories are said to range from great sadness to your most triumphant moments. Eventually turning you into nothing but a husk who cannot stop crafting and either starves to death or dies of thirst.Led by:
Aienaf’Irepy a half fae half koboldkin who is described as having blue skin with golden eyes and a humanoid-like physique. Once believed to be a Mor’in, Aiena as she goes by, is said to have been forced to attack the Mor’in’s to prove her innocence. Having lost her arm and nearly half of her face, Aiena now serves as the guild's most valiant leader. Taking immense pride in her position and doing all she can to continue her support of the fall of house Mor’in.Founder
Hokori Zonde was said to be a demon-folk who had made a deal with the Asi clan at the time. In exchange for a hundred years of service, Hokori would be offered something no dragon had paid before. While the remainder of Hokori Zonde’s story is unknown, we do know he left behind two disciples who had mastered his fighting art. As well as an entire clan of stone scaled dragons who had been sworn to the guild for the clan's eternity.Location
Currently set up south of Golem’s Rest and on the coastline. The large stone castle is said to look almost simple on the shoreline in comparison to the many fortresses of Crakec. With its grey exterior, simple courtyards and lacking of any true color, most would be fooled into thinking the fortress had nothing worthwhile within. However once you step inside, one can expect to be greeted with one of the largest mana technique book collections in the world. With a vast library, ancient artifacts, and vast laboratories dedicated to study. The Owl’s Perch is said to be one of the most powerful independent factions on Crakec.Guild Penguin
Though every member is said to be extremely positive, this guild is well known for scaring many new potential members. With an almost jester-like attitude, it is not uncommon to hear members of this guild called “The Laughing Penguins”. As it is noted many of the guild tend to be constantly laughing or happy when in battle. Going so far as to smack their stomachs where large gong-like bells are placed in their armor. Allowing them to echo out a beautiful chorus of happy gong notes across the battlefield. Before eventually either managing to grab a hold of you or body slam you.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the Setting Sun Discipline, the Guild Penguin are said to be capable fighters in hand to hand combat. Mixing simple weapons like clubs, slings and hammers into their preferred fighting style. It is said that often members prefer to keep one hand free while the other is said to grab hold of their opponents.Magic Item:
The Furnace of Greed, one of the four furnaces of clan Urehe. Originally believed to be a Forge of Hoarding prototype made by clan Urehe in hopes of breaking their curse. In truth, the item is said to have been made by Normac’Asi then stolen by clan Urehe only to be taken back once more during a daring raid by Normac’Asi himself. Regardless, it is confirmed that the furnace like that of the Furnace of Purity is said to feed off emotions. Unlike the others however, the Furnace of Greed feeds off one's own negative emotions giving you a darkened blade of evil slaying energy.Led by:
Vit’s “Small Belly” a young daughter of Dezoavits who is said to be half ogre and half hag with a love for food. While described as remarkably pretty, few have managed to even gain the attention of the young guild leader. As her refusal to even meet with anyone that can satiate her hunger or her want for battle seems to ward off most. Known far and wide for her ability to wrestle and use a dagger, few question Vit’s ability for fear of waking up with a blade to their throat.Founder
Dezoavits “The Ogre Belly” is described as a larger than average ogre who was said to be quite slow overall. However, his massive girth and capability to swing a pickaxe or grab a boulder and throw it were unmatched. Thus when the strongest and most capable slaves were called for, it was no surprise to see such a figure picked. Though Dezoavits was said to be quite kind, he preferred to never fight with a weapon when he went into battle. Preferring to “feel his enemies squish between his fingers” as he went off into a battle.Location
Built into the city of Endrik’s Last Hold, the guild is said to stand on the outskirts of the stronghold. Preferring to keep much of their guild underground, there is only one entrance via The Deep Dark roads of The Cracked Lands. This is said to assist in training many of the guilds members to survive, and offer plentiful resources in the monsters they are forced to hunt and slay. The Great Pelican Guild
A group of berserking maniacs who are said to continuously advance without fear. Or so are the words that The Great Pelican Guild were referred to as by the many Dragon Lords who hired them. Though known to carry the largest weapons, the Great Pelican Guild members are said to be neither slow nor weak when it comes to dealing with their faster siblings. Having many of its members come close to almost unifying the Iron Flock once more, the Great Pelicans are not to be ignored.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the Iron Heart Discipline, The Great Pelican Guild is well known for its large sweeping weapons. Preferring the use of great swords, great axes, and two handed scimitars, the guild is well respected for its ability to stand indomitable in any battle.Magic Item:
A furnace said to have once acted as one of the four great furnaces of clan Urefe. The Furnace of Purity is said to devour all positive emotion of its wielder. In exchange for giving up such a valuable piece of yourself, it is said to ignite the user's blade with a flame that can burn even gods themselves. As well as forge weapons powerful enough to cut down undead of the highest rank.Led by:
Fur’Fur a quarter demon folk, half golden dragon, quarter black dragon that is the descendant of Fur’asi. The elderly man is said to still wield the “Great Wyrm Slayer” , a great sword made from the bones of a Ceagag clan member. Fur’Fur is noted to have none of his great grandfather's magical talents, but all of his martial abilities. Being one of two members now to be able to wield the massive great sword. Unfortunately for him, his positive emotions were long lost to the Furnace of Purity he still wields. Thus he is rarely heard speaking and instead allows his young grandson to do much of the talking for the guild.Founder
Fur’asi a half demon-folk and half golden dragon who was said to be a distant family member of the Asi clan. Fur’asi was an exceptional battle mage who was well respected for his ability to use both thunder and lightning based mana techniques. Though his lust to be the greatest in history would eventually cause him to pick up a sword. It was Normac’Asi himself who would cause him to bear the largest blade ever wielded. For Fur’asi refused to be upstaged by any who would stand near him, and thus if your sword was big, he had to have the biggest. Eventually founding his fighting style around his nimbleness and willingness to train to such a degree. Though few would manage to master his fighting discipline, it is said that those who did were unable to lose a single battle.Location
Across the street from The Dire Geese Guild, the two are said to compete almost annually for Dragon’s Crown’s patronage. With a smaller barracks and a smaller keep, the guilds head quarters is said to only be made of simple stone. With its more defensive design, many who pass by are said to mistake it for a city watch building. The Branded Dodos
Known for branding their members with both a dodo bird and a heart, each member is said to do this in homage of Kridnex “The Kind Dead”’s sacrifice. Declaring him the true Dodo who would not falter in his mission. Almost every member of this guild despises the Asi clan for what they have done to their leader. However, none choose to stand against Kridnex and his kindness to spare the Asi clan his rightful rage.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
The founders of the Shadow Hand Discipline and users of many exotic weapons, The Branded Dodos are unmatched in one on one combat. Known to fight like they are seemingly drunk, many consider The Branded Dodos only to be an offshoot of the drunk monk fighting style. With both preferring sporadic, unpredictable, and sometimes disadvantageous movements. Though few can deny its effectiveness, and truly what individual does not wish to be a master of combat even when drunk.Magic Item:
“The Second Heart” is the name of the item and said to be gifted to whomever takes over the leadership of the guild. Though no one has stepped forth since Kridnex “The Kind Dead”, that has not stopped few from wondering of the item's origin. In truth it is said that it grants the ability to live for an eternity. While originally intended to save those who it was placed inside through an avoidance of instant death mana techniques. The item would become cursed in its origin and be so despised by the Law Bearer of Undeath that it was cursed forever more.Founder
Kridnex “The Kind Dead” was a known necromancer that was said to be blessed with undeath for the Law Bearer of Undeath had taken pity on him. Having from a young age been a captured slave, Kridnex was a despised jungle jotun amongst a clan of fire jotun. However it is said that one day a raid from the Asi clan would slay all the fire jotun who had harmed him and his family. Unfortunately they also killed his parents right before him in order to convince the young lad to serve them. Kridnex would never hurt a fly, and certainly wouldn't have turned against the Asi clan should they have let his folks live, but they didn’t. Still for over a few hundred years Kridnex served diligently and loyally, turning in others who sought to kill the Asi clan through poison. Finally Kridnex would be rewarded with a gift, a stab through the heart and his life taken. As he lay dying on an altar, the twelve other soon to be leaders were gathered around him. As the last of his life began to drain, Kridnex could hear The Iron Asi saying something about “fate” and “glory” before eventually passing out. When awakening it is said that Kridnex had been gifted twice over, firstly with the “Second Heart” and secondly with the powers of the ancient lich of old.Now he still rules today, however his interest in the world seems to have grown quite low in recent years. Rarely leaving his personal chambers unless to join an expedition into The Deep Dark where he stays to himself. Constantly writing and collecting random objects for further research. Few wonder if he has not gone mad with such age or if the Law Bearer of Death finally plans to grant him mercy and the gift of end.
Location
Believed to be in the mountain range around the Bloods Beginning desert. The stronghold is said to have no proper name and most refuse to travel near the rumored areas of its location. As many a powerful undead adventurer can be spotted walking the untraveled roads. Some say that you can even still hear The Battle of Gold Hill from The Southern Draconic Unification war playing out when a fog rolls into the area. The Shrieking Shrikes
A group founded on the idea of having a way of fighting in any circumstance. The Shrieking Shrikes would gain their namesake as they shouted into battle distracting opponents from all around. Meanwhile the more experienced members would either throw javelins, rush forward with short spears or come around from behind with daggers. Regardless, their ability to suddenly appear where you would not expect and fight in any situation possible is what makes them so feared.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders and inventors of the Diamond Mind Discipline, the Shrieking Shrikes are well known for their ability to always find your weakness. Preferring weapons like daggers, javelins and short spears. The guild is well known for its “ninja” like fighting style, as they prefer quiet and calculated fights through ambush if possible.Magic Item:
The Song as the item is called is a musical instrument made up of the stomach, bones and vocal chords of a song dragon. It is said that when one blows into the long flute like bones, the vocal cords make a beautiful sound while the stomach expands and traps the air. When you compress the stomach, the air once more shoots out making a secondary noise, almost identical to what the many niwarves use rok-heap for in there “Rok-Pipes”.While its appearance may not impress many, the realization that this was made from a member of the Ceagag clan should. As well, with each chord it sings, a different magical effect seems to be cast from the item. Almost responding to the users will, the songs that bellow from this instrument are said to speak of destruction. And only once the song is done, and the instrument lay quiet does the song's effect take place. Allowing all the destruction that was intended to rain down upon the target exactly as the song entailed.
Led by:
Young Scratch III, a kllozin who descends from Old Scratch as his fifth great grandson. Young Scratch or The Jagged Scratch is well known for his calm and wise beyond his years presence. With many noting the few times he does speak, he seems to speak with great wisdom that many believe he has learned from his ancestors teachings. In truth, the Young Scratch III is said to be the only member of the guild who has ever managed to use The Song more than once without losing his life or his ability to speak. Thus our hypothesis is that he is far stronger than the boy lets on.Founder
Old Scratch, a kllozin who was said to have been captured and enslaved by the Ceagag clan. Old Scratch was a noted tall but calm individual who was always said to have a plan. Never panicking or breaking under pressure, Old Scratch was The Iron Asi’s closest advisor.Location
Noted to have set up in Adventurer’s Beginning or later known as Gemcutter’s Port. The guild has a small keep and large personal barracks that allows them to train new members. While many of the guilds higher ranked members spend their time traveling to master the highest ranks of the guilds fighting discipline. The Glimmering Peacocks
A dazzling group of slim and beautiful warriors who refuse to allow their appearance to falter. Known for being one of the most pretentious guilds in the world, The Glimmering Peacocks can always be noted on a battlefield. With colorful leather and chain armors, most often decorated with bits of rare monster hides, feathers or even gemstone dragon scales.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Originally creating the Desert Wind Style Discipline, the guild is most well known for using its sabres, estocs, and rapiers while mixing in spell scrolls that are hidden often as feathers upon their body.Magic Item:
A simple magic item that seems to be used by the guild more for historical confirmation than actual use. Though it is unknown what the item truly does, The Iron Asi was said to gift The Glimmering Peacocks with The Lament of Stories Lost. A strange leatherbound book made from a hide of a creature yet unknown to us, and unable to be written within. Instead when one of their members seems to die, the book records their history, though in doing so everyone seems to forget who they are unless they are looking at the book itself. A strange item, but one that is believed to have a greater power for such a cost.Led by:
Morax “The Immortal” a creature said to be gifted with kllozin like abilities but having more of a Goliath like appearance. Morax is said to have been the original founder of the guild and is still alive to this day. Having met The Iron Asi personally and having been knighted by him. Many wonder how Morax managed to end up a slave to the Asi in the first place, as his clan of demon-folk that he once belonged to are rumored to have been quite a force. Though he claims to be “Too old for any political nonsense”, it is believed that Morax is one of the few adventurers who still willingly travels between continents through The Deep Dark’s unexplored routes.Location
Said to have a small hill fort within the territory of the Snow Beards Kingdom, along the eastern coast. The guilds head quarters is said to be nothing more than a long cabin with a jotun like design to it. The guild seems to instead prefer to spend its wealth on its guilds gear and smiths as The Glimmering Peacocks is the only known guild of The Iron Flock to have gemstone and armor smiths of such quality. They are also commonly found assisting many of the noble snow beard houses and clans in exchange for portions of the monsters they defeat. The Three Traitor Guilds
While originally it is said that the three guilds would choose to stand against the Asi clan for what happened to the thirteenth, the truth is far worse. As we would later discover, each of the guilds not only betrayed the Asi clan but also would give up their given names and trap their slain leader amongst three cursed items. The Armored Ravens
Originally named The Golden Ravens, the guild is well known for its heavy armor wearing and usage of the Army of One martial tradition. Having mastered that of the ancient warriors who wore thick armor, the guild uses this martial tradition to easily defeat whole units of soldiers by themselves. Traditionally known to wear black plate armor with raven skulls dotting the outside, one should be wary when running into one of these massive behemoths.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
The Armies of One take the idea of fighting with armor and using one's bare fists to take down an opponent. The simple idea is that an armored body cannot be pierced, and a strong fist can do more damage for its ease of maneuverability. Thus this guild is well known for its heavy armor and multiple monk disciplines.Magic Item:
Wielders of clan Urehe’s Horn of the World, this magicum item allows the user to summon a spiritual tarrasque dragon clad in golden scales. It is said that while this creature is around the strength of Dragon King Mov’asi himself, summoning it costs the lifespan of its user. And while the gold scaled tarrasque will do as its wielder asks, it seems the creature will only stay summoned so long as its user is still on the material plane. The item itself is described as a horn made of solid gold and has a strange engraving that reads “The Iron Asi Wills It” across both sides. While also having six gemstones of differing colors and sizes set within it on either side. It is believed that when the horn is blown, the voice of Normac’Asi “The Iron Asi” can be heard asking to be released from it. Though no soul mana technique user has ever managed to sense a soul within the item, let alone set it free.
Led by:
An ocean jotun named “The Armored Hand” who is described as being as big as a mountain jotun while twice as smart. Not much else is known about the leader as his guild is still wanted on the international level, and thus many attempt to keep a low profile. It is said however that The Armored Hand gained his nickname from mixing his monkish training in the Pakob monasteries and his abilities as an armored mercenary veteran of the Pillar Wars in Crakec.Founder
Nermo of clan Asi “The Green Gold”, a young member of the golden Asi clan. Nermo was known to be a bastard in all but name as his mother refused to recognize a koboldkin as her child. Thus as he was given up, Nermo would find himself reduced to slavehood at the beck and call of his cousin The Iron Asi himself. When slaves were called for to join this group of weapon masters, Nermo was the first to be requested. And while a capable warrior with a blade, his preferred fighting style he had mastered as a slave of the fighting pits would be what gained him recognition. Mixing monk martial arts with the armor of a holy warrior, Nermo would don his armor in service of The Iron Asi. He would also notably be the first to turn against his cousin, eventually killing him in the process.Location
Though it is not confirmed, the guild is said to be somewhere in the mountains of The Cracked Lands far east. Having been spotted as servants of Ja Terecitas on more than one occasion. It is believed that due to the vast forges the guild would need to make plate armor of such quality. That their stronghold and guild location should be easily spottable due to the immense clouds of smoke it would give off.The Broken Hawks
Said to use a hawks talon as their sigil, The Broken Hawks are believed to be one of the three traitor guilds. While we say “believed” it's because half of their members were reportedly locked away during the night of The Iron Asi’s death. While the other half were said to willingly participate and even create the plan to which they executed. Thus the guild has always been split between one side standing loyal and the other standing against. Like a blade that has two sharp edges, The Broken Hawks cut as often as they slay.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Those of the Broken Blade discipline who preferred and understood discarded weapons. It is said that The Broken Hawks would fight with their weapons until nothing was left. Refusing to throw away a weapon still thirsting for blood, this fighting style was said to be quite dangerous to its user. As many would carry sharp pieces of metal and splash their own blood at opponents in order to blind them in a duel. Known for fighting dirty, it is said that a member of The Broken Hawks will win by any means necessary and then claim your blade as their own.Magic Item:
One of the three items recovered from Clan Urehe’s main treasure hoard, The Crown of Virtues is a highly valuable item. Said to be from the Age of Fae and later playing a prominent part in the demon-folks own history. The Crown of Virtues is said to have the evil portions of The Iron Asi’s spirit trapped within. For as it grows in power with more sinners around, the item begins to allow a visage of Normac’Asi to surround the wielder. Eventually causing the wielder to act and even speak like him, though slightly angrier and more evil version. The item is unknown in what it actually does, but it is said to be guarded night and day by The Broken Hawks even today.Led by:
Kulsh'Endra, a half gold, half yellow koboldkin dragonkin appears as an identical match to Normac’asi the leader of The Trade Alliance of Smiths. Though unlike her distant cousin, Kulsh is an incapable smith and instead stands by her guild's belief of never throwing away a weapon. Thus many of her weapons have been worn down to a point of disrepair that would horrify most smiths.Founder
Kulsh'Endra, a slave of a small dragon clan, is said to have had yellow scales and was only taken by the Asi clan for this reason. Believing her to be the perfect playmate for Normac’Asi as a child, Kulsh’Endra served as The Iron Asi’s first friend, love and later nest mate. Though she was still a slave, it was rare for anyone to refer to her as anything but the lover of Normac’Asi himself. Until one day that she found out his secret truth and the reason behind the war, the two were said to never be seen apart.Location
Believed to be somewhere beyond the mountain range of Laws Rest in Celsica. The exact location is not well known. However the guild is said to be easily spotted for its simple monastery-like design. As well as its near run down appearance outside and its perfectly finished interiors. The Towering Albatross
The most unique historically speaking, The Towering Albatross would be the first of The Iron Flock to turn traitor. Though the original leader was said to never truly betray The Iron Asi. His guild would instead honor his sacrifice and continue teaching his fighting style to those instead destined to be “True” heroes.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the White Raven Discipline and masters of tower shields. The Towering Albatross are known for their heroic deeds and want to stand by their allies. Refusing to ever surrender, the members of this guild are said to fight honorably and to the last man.Magic Item:
“Dragon Breaker” an ancient grimoire that does everything but hold words within it. Made from the leather of a slain member of Ceagag, Dragon Breaker is said to be able to transform from a simple book into a powerful paper blade. While the blade is said to do nothing against non draconic individuals, those who share a common bloodline or themselves are draconic are said to fear the weapon's power. For it can cut through even the hardest scales and armors to kill an intended draconic creature. However the weapon is said to come at a great cost. For each beast slain is absorbed into the grimoire and given a page with its life history. However the user of the item is said to give up their ability to at first speak any language, later write any language and finally think in any language. With those who are bound to it for life finding themselves almost zombie-like by the end of their natural lives.Led by:
The Broken Wolf, though not his real name nor an actual gnoll. Each leader after The Big Wolf’s sacrifice would take on the nickname in representation of their leadership of the guild. Unfortunately The Broken Wolf is an elder storm beard who is nearly six hundred and well beyond his prime. With few members still unable to best the elder niwarves in military strategy, it is believed no member will ever manage to take his place before his death.Founder
“The Big Wolf” a gnoll said to be the third son of the ancient gnoll royal bloodlines. The Big Wolf would be one of the many slaves gathered from the mining pits to serve as members of the new Iron Flock. Known for his love of his people and willingness to sacrifice anything of his for them. He was the last to be picked but chosen over a younger member of the Asi clan who had grown quite arrogant at the time. It is said that The Iron Asi would be attacked by this younger member and that The Big Wolf jumping in and taking the blow willingly was enough to convince him of the gnolls' worth. Sadly he would find himself killed on the night of The Iron Asi’s attack from the traitors. Having been slain by his second in command and backed by the rest of his guild. The Big Wolf’s legacy would be written down as the “Greatest Sacrifice a slave could give”.Location
While the guilds stronghold was said to be once within Dragon King’s Rest for a time. It now is said to “wander” for whatever that might mean. As many have reported seeing a small building attached to the back of a large serpent like beast. Few have stated whether the building is truly a stronghold of the guild or just a passing druid or mage. The Slain Guild
While not much is known about the guild, we do know that they had originally been founded by a chef and his daughter. Though both were reported to be slain, no body was ever claimed. Thus we only know that they are said to have been trained by Normac’Asi personally using The Last Thoughts research on the supposed “gods”. Each member of the guild would be taught a fighting style designed to deal with different domains and planes of existence. And while few survived the harsh training, it should be said that a small group of them were able to fight off the most devout worshippers of The Law Bearer of Undeath.Fighting Style/Weapon Mastery
Founders of the God Slayer Discipline and said to be masters of the sword and shield. The Slain Guild is believed to have fought against the worst odds and refused to back away.Renown members:
The Golden Serpent
A member of The Iron Flock that was said to have been slain during a minor civil war within the guild. Having managed to successfully defeat three guild leaders by himself, it is said The Golden Serpent could not be defeated. However, eventually his fighting style of Greed’s Edge would land him or rather his head at the feet of The Armored Wolf of The Towering Albatross. The Dancing Goddess
Currently a member of The Armored Ravens who is said to be attempting to lead an expedition into The Deep Dark of The Cracked Lands. She is a noted goblin of the worghest tribes. Most famous for her beautiful dancing style and ability to fight with a large two handed scimitar in each hand.Unique and Common Services:
A vast collection of mercenary and military work.Annual Income:
The collection of guilds is said to collect nearly twelve million ruby volcanos annually.
