The Black Flame

Organization Category:

Holy Order

Organization Specialization:

Serving the rulers of Mors

Sigil:

A purple octopus-like eye that sits on a black flame on a crimson red background. The eye is said to represent their original god. Though few even know who that god was, as the name seems to have been lost to history.

Owner:

The 52nd Black Flame, as each member forsakes their name upon rising to the status of leader. Burning their face to a pitch black skin tone, and then covering it with a mask. Though each mask is unique, the current leader wears one that resembles a Mors Wyvernkin. With deep onyx scales and two glimmering pieces of obsidian within the eyes. The current leader is said to be a master of both the holy magical arts and the sword and shield. Undefeated as both shield master and holy man.

Founder:

The First Black Flame was said to be a massive jotun-like being who resembled the Dark King. He was the master of the greataxe and said to be undefeated even by the High God of Flame. Said to have slain the being in ritualistic combat that allowed the two to enter a sealed fighting pit. After defeating the god and devouring its power. The First Black Flame was said to see the truth of what the Fae Courts had done or rather would do. Thus he decided to pledge his fealty to an ancient beast in order to stop them. Unfortunately, The First Black Flame would be defeated and his life used to complete the sealing ritual of his god.

Subsidiaries:

The Rusting Flame
A group of nature users who have sworn their interest to see the world brought to ruin. A violent offshoot of the organization who specialize in destroying towns and cities. The holy order is mostly filled with zealots who found themselves driven mad by their gods' gifts.

The Black Scaled Flames
A group who believe their god is actually an ancient dragon-like creature. Thus splitting from the main organization to only allow those who have draconic ancestry to join their ranks. Considering themselves puritans amongst the holy order, they represent the highest ranked priests within the holy order.

Renown members:

Small Flame
A langlebig that is said to be one of the finest rapier swordsmen in the world. Having never been defeated, Small Flame has earned his high rank amongst the organization. Leading a small branch of elite knights that serve as The Black Flames personal body guards. Small Flame is said to be a oventium tusked albino langlebig who mostly covers himself in dark scaled armor. Preferring to keep his large oventium tusks short, he instead files them down and uses the shavings within his armor.

The Copper Flame
A zaraton that is said to serve as The Black Flames personal mentor. The eldest member of the order and said to be The Second Black Flames personal guard in his youth. The Copper Flame was given his name for his beautifully coppered shell with its many ancient fae runes written upon it. Supposedly The Copper Flame was once a slave and pet to the Fae Courts. He managed to escape during The First Black Flame’s Rebellion. Vowing to serve the individual who had granted him the gift of freedom and escape. The Copper Flame was said to join the order and serve as one of its greatest advisors. Holding the position of both personal mentor and record keeper for the holy order.

Island Mollesco

An island said to be located amongst The Dark Continent. The island itself has been the first open contact that the world was said to have with the mysterious lands. With the island slightly fortified and patrolled by the members. It is said that many of the beasts within the island have almost coal colored eyes. Causing many to fear that the beasts are far stronger then those claimed to have crimson or golden eyes from the mainland.

Protection and guidance away from the Dark Continent.

It is fully unknown, however the organization does offer death ore trinkets for sale. Which leaves us to believe that they could be potentially far richer than any merchant company known.
