Genasi - Pakob (Pakob)
Language: Lao
The last building to stick out stands at the center which is known as Dragon's Halt, a castle or rather fortress made from dragon bones, the skin of a creature that gives the building anti magic, and a strange stone that allows the building to almost regenerate. Dragon's Halt is said to have been crafted by killing one of the first children of Ked-Liz when they attempted to force the city to serve her. The city opened its gates and when the dragons entered it was said that Ked-Liz could do nothing but watch as her child was captured and butchered in front of her. Few know why the city was spared, only that for one reason or another, the city still stood and Ked-Liz never returned.
This is also the home of the Da who is the high priest of the Three Pillar Church. It is said that his quarters and living conditions would make an emperor jealous for how magnificent they are. And his vaults of long lost or forbidden artifacts are said to be vast beyond any conqueror’s dreams.
Each Athi Kan Bodi is said to individually lead their monasteries and control one of the sectors of the Pakob lands. With the Mangkon (Dragon) monastery in the south, the Tauaen (Sun) in the east, the Ngao (Shadow) in the west, in the center Saklai (Tattoo or Ink), and the Sadtha (Pious) in the north. Each teaches many different forms of martial arts developed by the older temples long forgotten.
Those provided with this title, handle both the day-to-day activities that are required to maintain the monastery. As well as act as spies, diplomats, guards, and the nation’s military force when necessary. Thus, all Phrasong are taught through many years on vast subjects. And those who are able to master many of the arts required by the monastery and nation overall, are said to be of the highest ranking in the nation. And given far more freedoms than your average Phrasong who would not be able to leave the monastery grounds.
It is said that as the six would come together to meet, Primorial would be recognized for her fathers slaying of a powerful and forgotten god. With recognition came understanding as now Primorial had to find a way to convince the others to follow her new power rather than claim it for themselves. With brutal efficiency it is said that one by one she would either defeat their clan's leaders or claim their martial arts temples for herself. As each would be defeated and agree to follow her, each would slowly find themselves overly dedicated to the powerful king. Though it is unknown if the rumors are truly anything more than wind, however, each of Primorial’s daughters are said to descend from one of the five ancient heroes who served beside her. Leaving many to wonder if she did not defeat any of them, rather lay with each to claim their hearts for herself.
Regardless of the truth, Primorial “The Golden Queen” now found herself as the leader of the largest Pakob force the world had ever seen. It is said that when the great cataclysm came that would destroy the clouds, the Pakob would attack and slay what was left of the powerful demon-folk that claimed rule over their lands. Slaying nearly twenty five thousand demon-folk in a single day, Primorial would put her fathers gauntlets to work on the few strong demons who dared stand in her way. With the help of the five other heroes it is said that the Pakob would manage to defeat the rest of the demon-folk leftover within their lands. Destroying what few tombs or castles they left behind, and claiming their great treasures for the five temples and new royal family.
With the supposed attack and sighting that the five temples had been left standing without a singular ounce of bloodshed. Many of the Pakob who had grown poor or hungry during the age of peace began to rally to Primorial’s call. With more support across the nation from the majority of the pakob species, many of the “Para” families, including those of the heroes, were forced to either fight or run. With many choosing to retreat into The Deep Dark rather than chance a full civil war.
The war would end mostly without bloodshed, however few of the Pakob to this day allow for any who do not represent one of the four elements to stand upon the surface. For those who represent one of the four powerful clans of Terra, Ouran, Aqua, and Igni that swore to Primorial rely on the continued status quo. And those of the cast out heroes rely on the continued power they have gained within The Deep Dark to ensure Primorial “The Golden Queen” can never again control all of the Pakob.
Second was Imakuna, a massive boar of a creature as is depicted in many of the old Pakob ruins. Said to be hard headed and the strong but caring older brother type, many look to him as the god for warriors and protectors. Both a brother and a father figure in a singular visage.
Next are Silencia and Incremia, twin goddess said to represent sound and silence throughout the cosmos. Both are depicted as identical except for one being a deep blue while the other seems to be bright white. Both are shown to have short hair, and quite strong figures, though one Silencia is shown to have a mages staff in hand while Incremia holds a sword with a glowing crystal. The two are said to be the twin gods of magic and battle, representing both sides for every adventurer.
Fourthly are the twin gods of Lytho-Tara and Blasz-Tara that represent the kindness and evil of nature itself. An almost perfect balance to represent rot and regrowth within the jungle. Both are depicted as Terra-Pakob who have long green druidic attires. While identical in almost every way, Lytho-Tara is represented with black oozing hair that seems filled with undead. While Blasz-Tara is represented with ruby red hair and vines of regrown trees growing out of it. Both are said to represent the heavily druidic beliefs of many of the elder Pakob.
Lastly is the Ni Lan Don or “The Eternal”, a powerful and ancient magus who is represented with carvings of red death ore showing him always crying as an elderly man. Some state that he represents the Pakobs eternal sadness of casting away their close kin of the “Para” families. Others say he weeps for the eternal suffrage his children are forced to endure and calls for all Pakob to rise up and rule. Regardless, he is often worshiped as a sign of rebellion and ambition by many Pakob.

This means that typically those of Lexra (fire) are known to have wild hair that can go from yellows to reds in color and eyes to match. As well as tattoos that seem to match the wild spirit of this subspecies.
Grendki (ground) are known to have more chiseled features, darker hair colors and eye colors, strong and sturdy bodies and similar tattoos or markings that represent the element.
Auroquo (water) tends to be more fluid overall, with taller bodies, hair that seems to always be wet and flowing. This accompanied by tattoos of the seas, ships and other such things makes them stand out quite a bit.
Won’quo (wind) tend to be skinny, free spirited, and green of some sort to white in both eye and skin tone. These lot are the rarest to find due to them being the sort to avoid others as they feel unlike their fellow Pakob.
But most seem to be constantly tinkering with something leading too many to have natural grease marks or small scuffs on their body that are leftover scars from inventions. Most commonly the tattoos of the Won’quo are usually of their inventions.
The Pakob are an interesting species, known to have been created during the forming of what we know as our world. With some stating that they have been around since the ancient era of the Age of Fae, however most believe that their true creation may be even further back. As some researchers note, there are historic tombs dating the species back to when the Beastfolk first arose upon the mortal plane. Making the Pakob one of the oldest species in our history. Born from the remnants of the Primordial Gods own consciousness, it is said that the Pakob rose as no more than simple dirt, air, fire, and water. However, like the Beastfolk, the Pakob would only rule through tribal powers and instead spend much of their early history being hunted by apex monsters of the time.
It is said that though before the Fae would rise to power, many of the Pakob would fight a great battle of ancient history. One in which would see thousands of primitive tribes united under a singular banner of a sickened hawk. As they came together they seemed to fight at first the Beastfolk themselves in a sort of holy war against their four gods at the time. However, as the war would go on the two sides would one day join one another as they watched the seasons change and a god be slain before their very eyes.
With the death of one of the four gods of the beastfolk it is said that season would change rapidly to a hot summer. So hot that a great plague would see much of the land destroyed and the many species to starve to death upon the very battlefields they fought corruption upon. As some warriors are shown to have died standing with little left of them, but spear in hand and a fearsome look in their eyes that showed defiance against the strange corrupted forces.
While we do not know the truth of what would happen or if the gods of the seasons would be sealed due to this. We do know the Pakob would manage to survive by eventually retreating underground. Only to live primitive lives for nearly a few hundred millenia before finally rising from The Deep Dark once more in The Clouded Age.
General Information
Once called “God Killers”, the Pakob in draconic is said to translate to “Those daring enough to slay Gods.”. While many philosophers may differ on their origin, few differ on the culture's overall perspective of brevity in the face of ultimate demise. Which is said to be where the species gained its name. Having fought with those of the late Clouded Age through primitive warfare, the Pakob would continuously defeat powerful demon-folk clans who sought to enslave the species. It is said that only through the glorious leadership of The Golden Queen would the species manage to unify and defeat all who stood in their way. Slaying or defeating many of the “Alignment Lord” clans who would seek power through their ruin. The Pakob would be one of the few species to survive the end of The Clouded Age, though only through its usage of The Deep Dark. Now, they stand proud, strong, and still under the same queen of the previous age.City info
Here we shall list the specific city info if any is listed for the city’s history.Vang Vad
A stronghold named after the first son of Primorial "The Golden Queen". The stronghold was noted for its large paladinium and magicum mines that allowed the single stronghold to produce extremely powerful clerics and paladins sworn to their queen directly. The city was said to have three unique buildings outside of its many smithies and libraries. The first was the massive church with a statue to the Primordial made out of gold holding the head of a forgotten god that is carved from sapphire within her hand. This church is said to house the large oath taker order who serves the queen directly as her vanguard. The second building is noted for its large three-pronged tower around a solid golden statue of Primordial, as each tower houses a different clerical order to their queen in exchange for the study of the magical domain. The three towers themselves are said to glow three different colors when a god descends upon the mortal plane, red for chaotic aligned gods, blue for lawful, and green for neutral aligned gods.
Unique Locations
The High Church
The main attraction for all pilgrims of the Three Pillar Church. It is said to be the grandest of all structures in the known world, with massive pillars of gold and oventium mixed together to hold the bright blue roof that reflects the sun and causes a strange almost particle like effect across the city. And with its massive dark iron bell, the city can be heard for miles when church begins and the bell rings every day at eight in the morning and eight at night. This is also the home of the Da who is the high priest of the Three Pillar Church. It is said that his quarters and living conditions would make an emperor jealous for how magnificent they are. And his vaults of long lost or forbidden artifacts are said to be vast beyond any conqueror’s dreams.
Technology periods
Here we shall discuss the main technological discoveries by this race.Slain Weapons
Once home to a powerful order of blood magus, the Pakob have never forgotten the ancient orders teaching. Having mastered the ancient abilities of “Slain” or in common “Blood Offering” weapon crafting. The Pakob are said to be masters of warfare who only grow more powerful with every defeat. For each individual slain is a new weapon offering that can be created, and a powerful ally that is crafted. For the Pakob who are especially gifted are said to use the ancient bufoni art to sacrifice the bodies of those slain to give their weapons more power against those sacrificed. In essence allowing many of the Pakob tribes to take weaker wyrmlings from the dragon clans and offer their defeated bodies to the forged weapons to grow more powerful against dragons of all scales. It is said that through this singular technology, multiple champions and heroes of old would arise from the Pakob. With the use of this technology they would single handedly carve their names into much of history itself.God Slayer Weapons
Though it is rare to find, some Pakob have mastered a level of craftsmanship only seen once in a millenia. Those few Pakob capable of standing toe to toe with a Demi-God are quite rare, fewer are those who survive and can make proper use of the bodies. For as we know, even a Demi-God’s body expires quite fast and much of it can drive a smith insane from its divine power. Thus those who have truly mastered the art of weapon crafting and combat are the rare few who can use this ancient art. Turning slain or defeated gods into singular weapons of great power. It is said that while the technique is guarded by The Golden Queen herself, none at her court to this day are capable of using it.Hierarchy
Here we shall discuss how the overall ladder of power is designed in this race’s territories.Kasad (king)
A title once held by the rulers of the Pakob lands. Long ago this title was said to be given to the strongest of the Pakob royal families. With the concept of strength proven through either personal combat amongst the candidates when the previous Kasad had passed on. Or by right of prestige. The Right of Prestige was said to be determined through actions that the candidate had accomplished.Athi-Kan-Bodi (Abbot)
The term used for the highest ranked of the five monasteries. With each representing a different kind of martial arts. These almost nobleman-like figures are said to be chosen for both their ability in combat and great wisdom that comes with age. Some current day Athi Kan Bodi are said to be over 380 years old, and there are noted members that are even older and more experienced. In fact, it is mentioned in most common texts about the Pakob, that they are one of the only species who know the secrets to immortality without the sacrificing of one’s soul or afterlife.
Phrasong (Monk)
The Phrasong is a title given to any member who has been a monk at a monastery and is recognized as a full-fledged member. Thus, those who join may not receive this title for many years until the Athi Kan Bodi recognizes their talent and approves their joining of the monastery.
Khon Thouapai (Commoner)
The Khon Thouapai are simply the average citizen of the Pakob nation. These make up the majority of the nation’s population. With this term covering everything from tradesmen and merchants to the poor and homeless.Nobility
Here we shall discuss notable noble houses through the time periods.Primorial "The Golden Queen"
First king of the Genasi and the one who would defy any god who stood in her way. It is said that historically she would glow with such a brightness throughout battle that many believed the earth Pakob to actually be a golden Pakob. In truth, Primorial was a golden mineral quasi Pakob, a rare genetic change that had caused her to become golden rather than her parents who had both been onyx Pakob. Said to have been the daughter of the Primordial Goddess Siles, and having inherited her demi God capabilities as a druidic caster who had mastered both wizardry and oath taking. Primorial was said to be the last King of the first age as she would strike her people into a great golden age of peace while the rest of the continent would implode in war. With no interest in the other nations, it is said that Primordial would spend her time reinforcing the border of her territory in the first age and expanding further wealth within her own nation.Military
Here we will discuss the noted military at the beginning of each agePrimordial "The Golden Queen"
Noted as having an army of around 10,000 oath takers, 12,000 clerics of magic domain, 6,000 dragon slayers, and 4,000 slaves that can be mobilized.Wars
Here we shall discuss the notable wars for each period and who they were against. The War of a Thousand Darkened Nights
Towards the end of The Clouded Age it is said that many of the Pakob would find themselves victims of the demon-folk clans who ruled the area. With a sudden need for slaves and more interest in blood mana techniques then ever, few of the Pakob could hope to stand neutral. As the powerful “Alignment Lord” clans began to move in it is said that six young pakob would come together to hold the line against the evil demons. Primorial “The Golden Queen”, Sudthai Yen Akad “Last Chill” an ice pakob, Aepuafai Loek “Deep Flame” a magma pakob, Sahaiv Savang “Glowing Abyss” an ooze Pakob, Iom Haichai Hon “Scalding Breath” a steam Pakob. and lastly the hero Ngan Liang Phaiphi “Plague’s Feast” a dust Pakob. Each would represent one of the powerful pakob families or martial temples that had managed to secure their borders. With more pakob clans running to their lands by the day, each had grown quite powerful and influential with the forces they now commanded. Destroying what few tombs or castles they left behind, and claiming their great treasures for the five temples and new royal family.
The Bloodied Horizon Rivalry
While the days of The Clouded Age would be far over and many years past, few had forgotten the truth of those days. As Primorial grew more powerful many of her people would begin to doubt if her intentions were truly for the best of the nation. And if not a male should rule in her stead, rather than leave it to a woman who had romanced her way to power. Though few could refuse her rule once she would declare the truth of what had happened during the war. Declaring that the pakob of the “Para” or in common “Born as Half Breaths” should be purged from the surface. Some researchers state that she would stage the next portion, however no truth has ever been found. As Primorial would state her intentions to bring the truth to light about the other heroes, she and her family would be attacked by a large contingency of dragons during “The Southern Draconic Unification” war that was believed to serve one of the Pakob families.
Events/Holidays
We shall begin to discuss notable holidays and events in this culture. Explaining further on where they come from and what goes on during them.Marriage
Commonly most Pakob do not wed without the head of the family making a decision. Or in some cases for those rare few families who control one of the five main monasteries, an alliance between the five can be created by decision of the Athi-Kan-Bodi himself. However, the majority of the time, the head of the families arranges the marriage in hope for alliances between families. Or in some cases for the chance of stronger offspring.Religious beliefs
Here we shall discuss the different religious beliefs in this race’s history throughout the periods.Shagnarok
The daughter of the Primordial Goddess and revered by the Pakob who still refused to bend the knee. Shagnarok is looked on as the last hope to return to the old ways of the Pakob and is recognized as the true successor and God amongst the old ways. Though very little is seen of her public worship, it is said that every Pakob hopes for her return in secret and plans to do all they can to help with this. The Seven Primordial Gods
First of the seven gods was Váhy, a beautiful older sister who was said to wear the cosmos as her long hair and had the skin of a darkened planet. Her eyes glimmered as blue stars that shun throughout all of the skies above. She was said to be the protector who gave all she had to protect the children of Primordial.Second was Imakuna, a massive boar of a creature as is depicted in many of the old Pakob ruins.
Known diseases
Here we shall discuss known diseases to be active and/or discovered or cured during the different time periods of these racesKunsunsia Ongpakob (Loss of Element)
The term “Loss of Element” is a general term used by other nations treating the Pakob when they lose their affinity to their element. Some have noted this as a result of having relations with species outside of the elemental affinities. However, others believe it has more to do with the species reproduction habits in which normal Pakob to Pakob relations ensure “elemental” energy is not lost. If though a Pakob to non Pakob are said to have offspring, the “elemental” energy needed to “power” the offspring and give it life is said to fully come from the singular parent rather than both. Thus it is hypothesised that while this appears to be a disease, it is rather a species reproduction habit to ensure continued survival through nutrients passed on by both parents in the form of “elemental” energy. While not fully fatal, this disease can and will kill the Pakob parent if they are ill or naturally weak.Khab Koen (Overdrive)
A common disease that the Pakob face alone as a species. This disease can cause the individual Pakob to lose its ability to control its element and go into a sort of overdrive. As the body continues to try and process the elements around it. They begin to overheat and the elemental magic stored within begins exploding outwards in an almost chaotic sense of the term.Anatomy
Here we shall both provide a design as well as an explanation of the anatomy of the race in question.(image of)
Ability score increase
With a +2 to constitution the Pakob rivals the troll in health, but health is the only similarity.Age
The average Pakob lives for around 300 to 400 years of age and reaches maturity at the age of 50.Phenotypes
Depending on which Pakob they are, they take on the appearance of that element, including tattoos, skin tone, eye color, and hair patterns.
Height and Weight
Height for all four of the subspecies seems to vary between 5ft to 6’5ft depending on the Pakob subspecies. And weight averaging between 150lbs to 250lbs is common.Alignment
The Pakob are probably the only species to stay truly neutral in almost all affairs. Having little to no interest outside of their nation in the modern day.Speed
With an average walking speed of 30ft they are common among the other species for speed of movement.Magic
Unlike any other species in the world of Silencia, the Pakob does not process mana at all. Instead, they are only capable of magic through the elements they absorb based on what element they are born into. While an earth and fire Pakob may create a fire Pakob. This fire Pakob could only process the magic of fire with a weaker affinity to earth. Though they could also use at a weaker affinity air and water as well. Similar to how the elements work overall in the world, the Pakob can only use those that their stronger affinity is not countered to.Founding
Here we shall explain when the race came to be, how it came to be, and whom it is credited to and where. The Pakob are an interesting species, known to have been created during the forming of what we know as our world.
