Chief Smokey McMagma

General

Chief Smokey McMagma was born into a proud family of Jotun-Modr who lived in the heart of a volcanic mountain range. From a young age, he was trained in the art of crafting and metallurgy, learning to forge weapons and armor from the molten rock and metal that surrounded him. He quickly became a skilled craftsman, creating some of the most intricate and powerful weapons and armor ever seen.
However, Chief Smokey's life took a dark turn when he was captured by the Ashen Legion, a group of red dragons feared for their ability to breathe a cloud of ash and smoke that chokes and blinds their enemies. They were drawn to his powerful lineage and skills as a craftsman, and they saw him as a valuable asset to their hoard. They enslaved him and forced him to work in their mines and forges, using his skills to create weapons and armor for their army.
For years, Chief Smokey toiled away in the dragon's lair, enduring constant abuse and mistreatment. But he never lost hope of escaping and reclaiming his freedom. One day, he stumbled upon an ancient text that described a powerful artifact called the Dragon Mask. Legend had it that the mask could grant its wearer incredible powers, including immunity to fire.
Determined to free himself from the Ashen Legion's grasp, Chief Smokey set about creating the mask. It took him years of tireless work and experimentation, but eventually, he succeeded. When he donned the mask, he felt an incredible surge of power, and he knew he had found the key to his escape.
With the dragon mask giving him the power to heal from fire instead of taking damage, Chief Smokey was able to fight his way out of the dragon's lair. He emerged into the daylight, battered and scarred, but alive and free. He knew that he could never return to his old life, and so he set out on a new path, determined to make a name for himself and become a powerful warlord.
Chief Smokey McMagma quickly made a name for himself as a fierce warrior and cunning strategist. He traveled the land, gathering a loyal following of slaves and adventurers to his cause. His reputation grew with each victory, and soon, he was leading armies of his own, conquering a kingdom for himself.
Throughout his journey, Chief Smokey never forgot the lessons he learned in the Ashen Legion's lair. He remained a skilled craftsman, using his knowledge of metallurgy to create weapons and armor that were unmatched in their quality and power. And he always wore the dragon mask, a symbol of his triumph over adversity and his unyielding determination to achieve greatness.
Or so goes the story as told to us by the worshippers of Smokey himself.

Races that Follow

Jotun-Modr are the main species to worship Chief Smokey openly, however many mercenaries and warbands are noted to as well. With many of his followers believing that by worshipping him they will be granted better luck in battle. Few realize that he is a war god who grants strategy, and long term victories, not short term ones unless battles are said to be the key to the war itself.

Preferred Item

Dragon Masks made from the skulls and skins of slain dragons, each member is said to have to make their own. Starting with gathering the materials, it is expected for you to slay or find a slain dragon and desecrate its body by skinning and beheading it. You then take the skull and begin to infuse whatever soul may remain of the slain so they may be your fuel while planning for wars. Finally when the skull and skin are dried and shaped, a mask is born with its eyes said to allow Chief Smokey to see what his worshippers see. Helping them plan and defeat any who stand before them.

Church/Pantheon

None, for the Law Bearer of War’s church is the battlefield or the strategy room. His places of worship, the fields of corpses slain by your victorious armies. His pantheon, that of War itself which many gods attempt to draw power from. For its authority is far reaching and quite powerful even to its influence upon the sentient and mortal species.

Holy Order

None, for at war all are holy men to Chief Smokey and his beliefs.

Champion

None for a singular champion would dishonor all who sacrificed and fought for Chief Smokey.

Symbol

Broken Shackles that are typically given to those slaves that have managed to free themselves from their captives. Surprisingly few of Chief Smokey’s most devout followers were once slaves, now turned generals of faith. Thus the symbolism of wearing your broken chains upon one's body is to remind you why you fight. And to not put others in chains again for they may declare war against you.

Creed

"All shall have the right to fight and break there chains"

Follower Count

100 official members have had their names added to the record, each battle hungry but intelligent individuals. The Broken Hundred as many call them have been working to free the slaves of many of the dragon lords and dragon clans even now.

Notable followers

None that would give an individual name, and instead each only ever calling themselves General of War.
