Celsica
A vastly unexplored and for good reason continent that stands as the oldest in history. While much of the lands west of Crakec would be blocked by powerful Dragon Lords with strange abilities. The rivers and tunnels would be guarded with powerful Storm Beards who have managed to use their demonic heritage to their advantage. To the northern edges of what we have mapped where lesser apex monsters walk around in herds as if easy prey. Celsica is a land of monsters in which few come back from, and even fewer are willing to attempt to live on. Only the desperate and powerful can call Celsica home.
Geography
As vast as Selmica is, Celsica is believed to be even larger. With the majority of its land yet unexplored little is actually known of its natural geography. What we do know is like Selmica, Celsica has every seemingly possible terrain one can imagine. With vast mountainous landscapes to desolate deserts to forests so dense we could not see more than ten feet in front of us. The land stands too diverse to state any one single fact about it that would be true not a hundred miles inland.Notable Mountains
Though the lands are yet mostly unexplored, much beyond what is mapped seems to be nothing but desert mountains as far as one can see. Thus while we give you only a few ranges and mountains, understand beyond what's mapped is far more land than any dragon could ever want. The Golden Maw
Also known as Ficcfy’s own kingdom, the mountain range is filled to the brim with golden ore and other glimmering yellow metals. Due to this insane amount of wealth, Ficcfy has given up selling the gold and instead carves the ore into the beautiful underground stronghold that is The Fairies Misted Mountains. However the mountain is known for being swarmed with dragon clans who have both swore fealty or are still at war with Ficcfy herself. Thus few adventurers have managed to stake a claim to any of the gold, though many have been contracted to help remove the hostile dragon clan forces.Laws Rest
Heading east of The Golden Maw mountain range, you will find Laws Rest. A vast mountain range that remains fully unexplored due to the high concentration of devastation and lesser apex monsters inhabiting them. With only a few species and beastfolk calling the area home, little is actually known of what the mountains themselves hold. However we know until recent days that no dragon would attempt to inhabit the lands which was quite strange by all collected information on the species. Thus we call them “Laws Rest” for the unexplored and overly powerful creatures inhabiting the range itself. The Anvil
A massive mountain that may actually hold the place for tallest and widest in existence. However, no member of The Collective of Pyrus has ever managed to explore the full mountain. Let alone acquiring maps that show if its a range or just one singular structure. However, this mountain is known to be filled to the brim with both Rustalum and Coal. Beyond this not much more exploration has been allowed, as The Anvil or Dragon Lord Ciranor as he is actually known by. Refuses to allow mining or any sort of unnatural developments to his territory. Thus, any further exploration by adventurers who gain such knowledge will be rewarded handsomely.Notable Rivers
Though we have only officially mapped out what we believe to be one sixteenth of its southern border. A few rivers have become quite essential in both expositional exploration and adventurers' experiences that far north. Thus below you will find a few that where north of Crakec and The Cracked Lands, the two most explored places of the continent.Mors Way
East of The Copper Shores and depicted only in The Cracked Lands maps. Mors Way was named for its unique reddish brown water that was caused by the large amount of Rustalum ore found beneath it. Ever since the Lord Mors Apex Monster has taken up residence there many note the waters charred meat like taste. With the two combined most avoid the river for fear of disease or what illness could be within. The Copper Shores
East of Nomanic’s Folly and shown upon the north western most point of Celsica on The Cracked Lands maps. This river would gain its nickname for the mass amounts of copper and niwarves that inhabited its lands. With a mix of sea niwarves and jotuns of the ocean, the land was considered to be inhospitable to any who would try to settle it. However the river itself, while quite deep, is extremely calm to the point that one would take nearly a day to cross it by current alone. As well as having a strange metal that glimmered like silver but had mixed in golden or copper ore to it. The riverside is quite beautiful depending on the time of year and sun setting location. As many describe it as if the river come to life with a thousand eyes as the fish deep beneath seem to glitter alongside the ore.Nomanic’s Folly
A river depicted on the north eastern section of Celsica that is depicted in Crakec’s map. Originally said to be the battle ground between then Dragon Lord Mov’asi and his uncle Nomanic’asi for control of the clan. Mov’asi was said to put up such a fierce fight against his uncle's superior mana techniques that the land around them became a crater and later a massive river. Now it flows gently and acts as a breeding ground for many turtle based species. However it is rumored that Nomanic’asi is still buried at the bottom of the river itself, his massive body creating a tunnel into an underground ocean.Ficcfy’s Conquest
West of the Nomanic’s Folly and on Ficcfy’s own border, this river stands as an inlet for many ocean dragon clan to fight over. Having gained its nickname during Ficcfys war against the red and faerie dragons that inhabited the mountain range west of it. It is said that Gregsmaratam was one of three other clans that had taken up the area as a powerful Dragon Lord. However Ficcfy cared little for the laws of dragon kind and instead chose to slay or push out any who stood against her. Creating the lake through the use of a strange ritual that took the life of the land around her. It is said that Ficcfy managed to launch a spell so powerful it wiped out one of the three clans entirely.Notable Deserts
While we know there to be a vast desert north of Crakec and the Fairies Misted Mountain kingdom. We have never actually been able to explore it due to the many large worm and mole-like creatures that patrol its sandy dunes. However, it should be noted that to this day, no adventurer or explorer has managed to find the other side of the theorized vast desert. Thus we have begun to call it “Life’s End” as nothing but death and powerful monsters lay within the awaiting dunes. The Red Dunes of Rust
Though fully disproven this vast desert is noted for its massive red dunes that dot throughout much of its landscape. However, they are not made from rusted metal, let alone Dragon Lord Ciranor’s own destroyed metal items as the rumors state. While it is true, one can find rusted items within the sands, that is due to the unique creatures that call the desert home. As many a beast is drawn to the rustalum that can be found deep beneath the desert. None are so deadly as those that prey on metal and flesh alike, leaving many an adventurer fearing for their life in a desolate landscape.Political History
While many believe this to be the home of the original demon-folk, bufoni-folk, and hags. Nothing more than theory has ever been given due to the inhospitable landscape that we have been researching. Thus few actual records have been found or created due to the harsh conditions. However, after The First Age began it wasn’t long before many dragon clans would attempt to settle in The Golden Maw. With many clans going missing after being pushed further north for easier lands to conquer. It is believed that nearly two hundred and thirty five dragon clans would head north before vanishing down only to twenty or so. Thus a land steeped in continuous war either civil or otherwise, much of its history is yet to be discovered.Ecology
A vast land of ancient and powerful creatures that seem to not care about traditional rule sets. Not unlike The Sunny Wave Island, much of the land has grown to a point of hunting one another and no singular “top of the food chain” exists. Thus the land stands in continuous chaos with multiple creatures constantly hunting or being hunted. And the plants are not much different as they evolve to claim nutrients from ambushed beasts. As well as grow larger to the point of covering vast areas to gain the sunlight and choke out lesser plant species. Truly a land of survival of the fittest though on hard mode.Foundational Flora
Identical to the Fauna of the land, much of Celsica varies from our current research. However, most of the cousins that reside on Celsica tend to have more demonic features unlike there southern cousins of Crakec or The Cracked Lands. With some even noting that many of the beasts are larger and tend to rise to lesser apex monster status easier. Thus the fauna tends to have darker colored skin, a higher ability to deal with mana and spells, while also being almost entirely flame proof.Foundational Fauna
Due to the amount of Fauna that vary across the continent, few tend to share anything other than their demonic heritage as a commonality. Though it seems creatures of Celsica do grow most capable with dealing in hot conditions no matter the time of year. With many creatures staying close to water and having large water containers upon their body as an evolutionary trait. It is believed that this alone proves that most of Celsica is a vast desert.Temperature
While quite dry for its vastness, much of Celsica seems to stay relatively hot throughout the year. With a standard 65f at its lower temperatures in the winter to its blazing 127f in the summer and under the sun. Celsica is a dangerous and unforgiving place, with the heat getting worse the closer you get to the desert.Seasonal Variations
Similar in a lot of ways to Selmica, Celsica experiences all the seasons throughout its vast continent. However we have confirmed that the further north you get, the “closer” the seasons become. With some even pointing out that at a certain point the vast desert can experience summer one way, fall another, winter another, and spring in the last direction you look.
