Redbrands
The Redbrands are a ruthless band of mercenaries and cutthroats who had taken over the mining town of Cloudheath for a time, terrorizing its citizens with extortion, violence, and intimidation. Clad in distinctive red cloaks or sashes (from which they derive their name), they operated out of Tresendar Manor, a ruined estate with a hidden underground base known as Tresendar Dungeon.
Originally hired as muscle by the Black Spider (a mysterious drow villain), the Redbrands were meant to secure Cloudheath while their employer searched for the legendary Wave Echo Cave. However, under the leadership of Iarno Albrek, they grew into a brutal gang, preying on the weak and crushing dissent.
