Population Migration / Travel
"Humans from the South and East of Syrel, and even from the far West, from the deserts, plains, forests, mountains, hills, rivers, valleys, seas, and marshes, they have come, and I fear the worst for my people. But war... war must be avoided." - A Diary Excerpt from King Valare of Alsinvale.
In 7347, humans began a mass migration into Northwestern Syrel from across Syrel and the islands to the West. There were a myriad of causes, not least the recent plagues, the collapse of the Ilaran Alliance, and the resurgence in interest in Eldynaearan society. Forceful colonization and expansion drove elven populations out of the south and, King Valare not wishing to incite violence, permitted the retraction of Alsinvale's land in exchange for peace with the new influx of humans. However, unrest in Alsinvale and Sinokar directed at Valare's apparent inaction and the human population rapidly increasing, coupled with a human desire to spread further and remove the dwarves and elves from power, resulted in a series of conflicts that weakened and ultimately ended the supremacy of both the dwarven and elven powers. Many elves sailed West, notably to the Stardyn Isles, while the dwarves retracted northwards and eventually into the small region called Sinolia.
