Arising of the Gods

Celestial / Cosmic

Time Immemorial

The fashioning of the first mortals and the beginning of the elder gods' actions.

The supreme God and Creator, Si, descending into slumber, left the responsibilities of the ordering of the world to the elder gods of Ether and Void, borne of Si in the last flash of Their creation. The new gods, though parts of Si, had a new, divided consciousness, and they explored the world, filled with wonder, and gave great praise to Si. The world was named Sil, and the gods looked upon the life that filled it.   The gods knew that Si had left a task for them to fulfill, and so they came together to fashion mortal sentience, set apart from the rest of Sil's creatures by their likeness to Si and the elder gods and in their awareness. In this task, they drew from Si's creation. The gods of Ether took a part of themselves and created a strong core of energy, then fractured it into countless pieces. The gods of Void then did their part, drawing from their own forms and from the emptiness beyond Sil to give the pieces true form; the gods of Void and the gods of Ether, together, designed and fashioned what they perceived as perfection embodied in mortal form.
