Vanara
When the world was young and untamed, Ha-Jalah strode the lands. He swung from tree to tree in the form of a monkey (a most clever creature he had created) until he came across the hunter Vana. Vana's family was desperate, for they had not managed to catch any game for weeks, every tree was barren of nuts, and every bush had been stripped clean of berries. Hunger had weakened their arms and legs and it now seemed impossible that they would catch anything.
Ha-Jalah took pity upon the hunter Vana and gave them his golden key. Vana was transformed and with newfound prowess they snatched a bird from it's nest. With the strength from this morsel they saved their family who also in turn became transformed. The descendents of Vana would go on to become the Vanara.
Civilization and Culture
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Vanara are almost intrinsically tied to human culture and tend to settle in or around the areas surrounding human lands. Their natural mobility gives them more options for settlement. Consequently, the mountains surrounding human settlements tend to be populated by Vanara.
