Shinkai
The Shinkai is the paraplane that surrounds and binds together all other planes and objects within them. It centers around Axis Caelum and stretches out infinitely. It is a realm without rules but what you will. Concepts like time, space, matter, even life are all relative and can be changed here.
Its primary inhabitants are spirits and though no one can truly say they own the Shinkai, the Jade Emperor is the one deity who could claim authority in all of the Shinkai.
Geography
Central to the plane is Axis Caelum, the reference point of the plane. The central plains from Top to bottom are Activity, Tengoku, Life, The Material Planes, Metal, Yomi, and Stillness.
Around it at various levels, often in orbiting paths are the planes for many of the largest and most powerful spirits, gods, and other such beings.
Wandering about the plane are demi-planes owned by various spirits, the most common of these are the waypoint planes, which are spaces not much bigger than a room with a food cart in it and a spirit selling food to passersby.
