Groups of Deities

The Deities, or gods, of Shattered Kingdoms are organized into groups, Prime Deities, Lesser Deities, Dead Deities, Great Wyrms, Lost Deities and Mindre Eidolon.

Prime Deities are made up of the most powerful gods of Shattered Kingdoms. They are the gods that for those people who live in the Shattered Kingdsom consider the most influential and powerful. These gods have a long history in the Shattered Kingdoms. The status of Prime Deity is given through a combination of raw cosmic power and their influence over Shattered Kingdoms, both in terms of how well known the deity is, as well as how large the group people who worship them are. All Prime Deities have a Divine Spark or are made up of a Divine Spark’s energy.

Lesser Deities are gods, but they are not on the same level of power or influence as the Prime Deities. These deities are generally less powerful than Prime Deities, but that is not always the case. A lesser Deity can be powerful in their own right, but they either have chosen not to exert their influence over the Shattered Kingdoms, they are just not as well known, or they just don’t have as many worshipers. All Lesser Deities have a Divine Spark or are made up of a Divine Spark’s energy.

Great Wyrms are a special category of deity in Shattered Kingdoms. They are seen as gods, but they do not have their own Divine Spark, all of them were made by other deities’ Divine Spark. Still, they are seen and worshiped as gods by the denizens of the Shattered Kingdoms. They are said to be the first and most perfect form of Dragons. While Great Wyrms do not have their own Divine Spark, they are made from a mixture of the primal forces of the multiverse and the essence of the Devine Sparks of Gods.

Dead Deities are those gods who have died. All Dead Deities had a Divine Spark or are made out of a Divine Spark’s energy.

Lost Deities are gods who did not die, but who are lost to time, and not that much is known about them. All Last Deities have a Divine Spark or are made up of a Divine Spark’s energy

Mindre Eidolon is the catch all term for any entity that is worshiped as a deity but does not, in fact, have a Divine Spark nor are they made up of a Divine Spark’s energy. The entity might be powerful, they may even be powerful enough to battle a true deity, but they are not truly Divine. They are unable to impart any Divine Power from their own essence. Even if they are only a Mindre Eidolon, the worshipers of those entities usually consider them a deity despite the fact that they need a Divine Spark or be made out of the energy of a Divine Spark to be a true deity by the rules of the Shattered Kingdoms setting.
