Krussar

The half-orc warlord Krussar is a highly controversial figure. An ambitious statesman, powerful warrior and competent strategist, the man originally started off as a simple mercenary, working his way up through the ranks and eventually making enough of a reputation to allow him to start his own mercenary company called The Steel Fists. Over a decade, Krussar managed to expand and improve his company, building a reputation for professional conduct, expertise, reliability and skill, landing the company many high profile jobs. This reputation landed them the highly sensitive job by the three city states Usyron, Yondy, and Elesas to combat dangerous creatures in the shadetouched bog and to escort an expedition of mages and scholars into the heart of the bog. On this mission, Krussar lost many of his men and he eventually learned he had been kept in the dark about much vital information of the job and the dangers it posed. This caused such an outrage, that the half-orc warlord gathered all those he held responsible in the council chambers of Elesas and had them executed, effectively committing a coup and taking over the three city states. Krussar has ruled these terriories for 32 years since, slowly attempting to transform the new nation named after him into what he believes would be a fair utopia where the common man need not fear those with power, be it through birth, status or skill.
Krussar is a no-nonsense man that is known for his charismatic personality and strict leadership. He cares little about one's race, birth or sex, as long as they prove themselves to be capable and respectful. The only exception to this is towards those with magical abilities, and especially those who practice arcane magic. Krussar carries a deep mistrust of magic, believing that most of those capable of these superhuman feats will end up using them to mistreat- or lord over those without them. This has caused the warlord to ban the use of most magicks from his realm, except for those licensed by the state and kept on a short leash, as Krussar does recognise the use magic can pose when carefully deployed.   Krussar is served by his right-hand and most senior officer the hogoblin Ulgras "Steelspine"
