Bleak Guard

The Bleak Guard is the defense force of Vindraxos, manning the city walls and fortifications of the nation and patrolling its streets and roads as a guard force. A significant portion of the Bleak Guard consists of undead, which are directed by living necromancers, volunteers, and career militarymen, who take up the officer positions. The undead troops have been instilled with a complicated set of commands and the laws of the nation, in theory allowing them to act as an autonomous guard force that can maintain an eternal vigilance without needing rest or food. In practice, however, living and sentient officers regularly check on these undead guards and troops to ensure there are no complications since the undead virtually act as automatons and cannot make judgement calls outside of their "programmed" directives. The guard can easily be recognized by the colour scheme of their equipment in a dull green with grey accents.
