Moonstone Bay was built into the curved embrace of a crescent-shaped harbor, where large white stones sit in saphire waters like the large bleached eggs of some titanic sea creature. The many rivers that create the Fingers and allow for much of the trade that Moonstone Bay is known for to extend to the far reaches of Virella.

History

Moonstone Bay was originally established as a coastal fortified harbor during some forgotten war, ages ago. A brutal naval campaign launched by foreign powers attempting to conquer a foothold on the continent of Virella and battle against the ancient Qel'Soren Ascendancy. The harbor held for years against the seemingly unending siege, thanks to its treacherous shallows, hidden sandbars, and the unshakable resolve of the long departed Virellan Warriors.

The city itself has stood the testament of time. Much of the technology that was developed in ages past is used today but not fully understood. Over the centuries, the city has expanded and been built up into a wonderous coast side metropolis.

Districts at a Glance

The Brightspire District's alabaster buldings shining like a beacon upon the Saltvein Coasts rocky cliffside. Watching over the city and built around a large, lighthouse. The Marshgate District docks acting as the entry point to the city and the riverways of much of Virella. Cannastellan , known as the mercantile disctrict is host to shops and restaraunts containing goods and foods from around the world. If you need it and couldn't find it elsewhere, odds are that one of the many shops here will have it. Malung'Koht Isle is the resort side of Moonstone Bay. While other districts have inns and taverns, they cant compare to the feeling of luxary that one gets while staying there. While the city's buildings and spires reach high and shine brightly in the coastal sunshine, The Fingers is Moonstone Bay's largest district by far. This rural district is built in the marshes of the delta and home to many seeking a simpler life in a more natural setting.

No matter where you hail from, outsiders are generally welcome within the borders of Moonstone Bay. Danger does lurk all around as the natural and supernatural collide in and out of the city.
