Seppun Raehua
Imperial Astrologian
A shugenja of the Seppnu Astrologer School from the Imperial Court at the heart of the Jade Empire. Seppun Raehua is possessed of an indomitable will imparted by her blessed, kuge lineage. Some in the Court whisper, however, that her line is in truth cursed, with ominous rumors of a pair of twins separated by scandal and exile. None would dare voice this gossip in public, of course, especially given that Raehua is among the Astrologer School's most valued fortune tellers. Indeed, word of the perfectionism with which she approaches her duties is said to have reached even the ears of the Emperor.
Absolutely loyal to the Imperial Court and its goals, the situation in Rindō promises to be the first opportunity for this fledgling shugenja to uphold the health and integrity of the Empire as her duties demand. In truth, however, Raehua longs for meaning. She's driven to do what is best for the land and its people. Should this belief clash with the tenets of the Imperial Court, it is difficult to say which would emerge victorious.
As a celebrated member of the Imperial Court, Raehua is rarely seen without her ceremonial scepter, sanctified robes, and a pack filled with scrolls and divination tools. Curiously, these comprise a set of tarot cards and yarrow sticks, neither of which are fortune-telling methods endemic to the Empire. It's a well-known fact, if one largely viewed with skepticism, that Raehua's teacher was a foreigner from the Unicorn Clan. The decorative fan which completes her ensemble is, in truth, a steel implement capable of use as a weapon should the situation demand such.
