Chummer 5

Making a shadowrun character can be time consuming and tedious, which is why we recomend you use chummer 5.

Chummer is a free character creation tool developed by the community. It is available for windows as standard and can be modified to run on mac or linux with a bit of tech wizardry. If your computer can run it, we highly recommend you use it. If fact, the gamemasters will assume that you are using it and we have created a guide on how to use it, see below:

The Library

The following rulebooks are the ones most frequently used by the gamemasters and most rules within are ok to use in this campaign. Note that there are many other rulebooks, expansions and source material that include rules for Shadowrun 5th edition. Other sources than those listed below should be run by the gamemasters first before being used, since some contradict existing rules, conflict with the type of campaign we're playing or break the game completely.

‎Complex Action (YouTube)

There are plenty of rules and mechanics in Shadowrun that could use some clarification, for this we highly recommend the excellent youtube channel Complex Action. They have a huge amount of bite-sized videos explaining individual game mechanics and rules. If you have a question about a rule, most likely they already have a video for it.
