Jon Raynland

Jon Raynland, the 12-year-old son of best-selling author Richard Raynland, was a vibrant and imaginative boy who shared his father's love for stories and the supernatural. Tragically, Jon's life was cut short in a car accident, leaving his parents devastated and haunted by the loss. In the wake of the accident, Richard struggled to find solace, channeling his grief into his writing. However, he soon discovered that Jon's presence had not completely left him. Jon returned as a ghost, bound to his father and the mortal realm, his ethereal form sometimes seen by those with The Sight lingering near Richard as a silent but comforting companion.   Despite his spectral existence, Jon's spirit retained the same curiosity and warmth he had in life. His presence became a source of both solace and sorrow for Richard, who found comfort in knowing his son was still with him, even in such an unnatural form. Jon's ghostly presence also influenced Richard's writing, adding an authentic and poignant layer to the ghostly and supernatural elements of his stories.
