Nerosian Ruins

The Nerosian ruins is a proposed archeological site that was found by the USS Stavanger-A on stardate 60660.3.   It appeared that this was a colony of the Nerosian people approximately 2000 years ago when it befell ecological disaster following the destruction of thier star. The planet is now classified as a Class L, barely habitable. It is extremely cold, droping to -100c overnight and barely reaching -40c in the day. It also has large and sometimes hostile fauna. Travel is restricted to civilians and Starfleet personelle must have proper gear and two escapes routes at all times (shuttle and transport). Ships are not permitted to leave orbit while a ground crew is there.    The Natural Ecology is hard to determine because of the Nerosian use of Biotechnology, and the state of decay it has had over 2000 years. Major fauan appear to have been work creatures for the Nerosian population, that have since gone feral. Another caution of travel is the Class 2 prion that has infected the enviornment. Vaccines are on file for those who want to travel, and an enviornemnt clean project is in the works.
