3rd Body Art: Hellbent & Heavensent

The spell "3rd Body Art: Hellbent & Heavensent" enables a mortal mage to safely traverse and exist within the realms of the Holy and Unholy Multiverses—realms normally fatal to mortals due to their incompatible atomic structure and the divine or infernal energies that permeate these dimensions. This transformation spell permanently alters the mage’s being, allowing them to adapt to the environmental and metaphysical conditions of these realms without suffering the deadly consequences normally associated with entering them.   The key to unlocking the ability to cast this spell lies in consuming the Zaqqum Fruit (for Hellbent transformations) and/or the Ashvattha Fruit (for Heavensent transformations). Once these fruits are consumed, the mage’s body becomes attuned to the energies of the Holy and Unholy realms, permanently granting them the ability to cast this spell whenever they choose. The fruits are consumed only once to unlock the spell’s power. From that point forward, the mage can perform the transformation at will, just as they would any other spell, though this spell operates under unique restrictions.   In the Hellbent form, the mage assumes the traits of an Asura, allowing them to cast Black Magic (a fusion of Mana and Darkness), which is typically inaccessible to mortals. In the Heavensent form, the mage takes on the traits of a Deva, enabling them to cast Hallowed Magic (a fusion of Mana and Light). The mage’s strength in these forms is derived from their Base form—this means that their overall power remains equivalent to their original form, translated into the traits and abilities of an Asura or Deva, rather than granting them an automatic increase in strength.   Additionally, after unlocking this spell by consuming the fruits, the mage can access both Black Magic and Hallowed Magic even when not in their Hellbent or Heavensent forms. This allows the mage to passively wield the powers of Darkness and Light in their Base form, expanding their magical repertoire in ways that would otherwise be impossible for mortals.

Though this spell grants the mage access to the Holy and Unholy realms, it comes with inherent limitations. Certain divine and infernal beings find it difficult or impossible to exist outside their native realms, and the same holds true for the transformed mage. For instance, using the Hellbent form in a Holy realm or the Heavensent form in an Unholy realm may lead to the mage’s power being significantly diminished or destabilized. Additionally, beings from these realms are often too powerful to fully manifest in mortal spaces, meaning that the mage’s transformations might be limited or even harmful to themselves if attempted in unsuitable environments.   Furthermore, while the mage gains access to new forms of magic, they must exercise caution. The power of these realms can be overwhelming, and while in the transformed state, they might attract the attention of native beings (such as Devas or Asuras) who recognize them as intruders.

The initial consumption of the Zaqqum Fruit (for Hellbent) and/or the Ashvattha Fruit (for Heavensent) is the key to unlocking the spell. These fruits are powerful relics of the Unholy and Holy Multiverses, respectively, and consuming them triggers the permanent transformation needed to wield this spell. After consuming both fruits, the mage manifests a glowing, red-orange circular seal on their forehead, symbolizing their attunement to both divine and infernal energies. This seal marks them as capable of traversing both realms and using their respective magics.
