WorldEmber 2024 - 1st Time

Week 1

I, Schuriscloa (Mage M.), promise to do 10,000 words of revising Serev'ka this WorldEmber. This is my first time doing WorldEmber, and I hope I'm doing things right while prepping for it. I'm working on this world with a friend, and many things have been revised. So, I will be updating info for Serev'ka.

Develop Amethyst flower page
Further, edit/revise the gods I control in the collaboration
Write the rules of necromancy for the Siciliaa
Review and revise the races
Add Abyssal People, Fae, Calypso, ... including Kuvomitabai and Niaalahimi
If there is a way to add an extra A.C.E. or A.D. to things (Before Cleave, After Cleave- Before Rejoining, After Rejoining)
Explain the Keening, Cleave, and half worlds
Add Old World and briefly state Etoirelumini homeworld

Week 3

11/17-19/2024 - Worked on some timelining with my co-collaborator.
11/20/2024 - During the weekend, I watched a movie with my co-collaborator Deadpool and Deadpool 2 from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Added to the playlist. Someone ddosed WorldAnvil so it might be hard getting Week 3 homework up. Continuing Week 2 homework with CSS.
11/21-22/2024 - Moodboard: I do not do mood boards but am willing to try. I do have Pinterest.

Deadpool and Deadpool 2

Before the memories fade, I watched Deadpool and Deadpool 2 with my co-collaborator. I enjoyed the movie. It was fun, raunchy, and a good amount of violence to boot that reminded me of this world/universe. The attitude of Deadpool kind of reminds me of my characters Set, Kasei, and a little bit of Tousotsu. That last character I need to rename at some point. There's more to Deadpool I think, but he switches between being silly, angry, and knowing he needs to get a job done.

Set is dramatic and silly, but he does get the job done like Deadpool. He can be angry, but while it's similar to Deadpool, except Set likes helping people. Deadpool I feel is chaotic-neutral. As for Set, he has chaotic-good tendencies. Both will do what they think is best for themselves, their lovers, and future families. Everything else can probably go to Hell, but they make sure their friends and family are safe. Set helps Kasei in Serev'ka, but he is loyal to himself and Pleiades Tea Emporium.

Kasei has Deadpool's anger. Especially, when Deadpool loses his lover in the second movie. Not to mention she also has Firefist's anguish. Set tries to utilize this to his advantage, but knows she makes a good ally. She has fire abilities like Firefist does, but it is more general fire manipulation. She does learn in the prologue events of the story to take advantage of Set's assistance despite knowing the consequences where she owes him a favor. In a way I feel she is Set's Firefist to his Deadpool in some way, but not father and child relationship. For them, it's more the semi-responsible adult with an annoying apprentice.

Tousotsu I feel is more Colossal and Kasei is Deadpool. Tousotsu wants to get the job done and according to the law. Meanwhile, his twin sister is chaos incarnate. At the end of the day, they get their mission accomplished. However, Kasei usually ends up burning whoever they are taking into the Serev'ka organization.

While I saw the commons between my characters and Marvel cinematic universe's characters, I also saw the differences. I was inspired to create different prisons for the people that Kasei and Tousotsu imprison. Just won't call it the Ice Box. I also have some level of inspiration for some of the vehicles used to transport imprisoned villains.

Moodboard

Plan to do my mood board privately on Canva. I used Canva's stock images, but I don't feel comfortable placing it here publically. I did various places equivalent to the universe, including space. I tried to find images of blood to represent the Lahimiyaa or the Body manipulators. I found a snake image to represent the gorgons and basilisk. I found a mermaid image to represent the sirens, mermaids, and Calypsos. I found silhouettes to represent the Abyssal people. The amethyst image was to represent Anubis' and Vela's amethyst necklaces that let them see their long-lost loves.

Playlist

Plan to put my playlist on Spotify. I have made playlists on Youtube and Spotify for my Serev'ka characters. It is about inhumans fighting for their lives against a powerful force, and they are limited in what they can do because of human laws and governance. They are fighting for you and me in Serev'ka, yet they are not considered heroes, but only monsters that haunt the night. I tried to look into each of their minds at certain points in the canon and try to hear what they might be thinking through the song inspirations. A few of the songs are picks from the characters my friend/co-collaborator has created. More songs will be added I'm sure. Week 4

11/22/2024 -- Just alerted my friends and roleplay partners on Tumblr that I will be doing Worldember. Did scheduling.

Community

Alerted my friends and roleplay partners on Tumblr that I will be doing Worldember. I will be putting a pause on my text roleplay hobby a little bit over the next month to work on worldbuilding. I hope they understand because I want to publish one of my stories in my lifetime at the very least. I already joined a community for worldbuilding and that is the Worldanvil community on Discord. I don't do much yelling into the void on Social Media besides those, but my Bluesky for artwork.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I will try to work on Worldbuilding. Saturday and Sunday are tentative because I will probably have to do house chores on those days. Wednesday is my chill day I think for the month. I am currently a full-time freelance artist and writer, but that will probably change in the next year. I am better at working on writing in the morning than I am in the wee hours of the night. I am not good with further scheduling, because I probably will not pay any attention to the specific times. If I keep it loose, I have a better time at following the schedule.

Fresh Air

I am planning to go to a Friendsgiving on November 24, 2024. I am in charge of the Desserts, so I will be headed to the Supermarket either tomorrow or Sunday before 6pm EST. I will try to get a walk or two in, but I am still preparing for the Worldember 2024.

CSS Wizardry

Did some CSS wizardry, though I am far from being a CSS wizard. 11/22/2024. I was not sure how to make the comment section match the rest of my world's page. I do not mean to code anything out of bounds with the CSS rules, and I will try to correct it if anyone points out the classes that need to be replaced. I will need to fight with the columns that keep poking out in the comment box.
