When asked what this well would do he simply stated that it would "Allow for the continuation of of my greatest ambition, a strong Semita for the future".

The impact of The Well of Legacies would be noted a few years later when the manifestation of powerful abilities from Semita's history in new born adventures. Additionally, the first legacy was noted on 24942 DW1 March 23rd at The First Annual Trial of Proofing held by AEGIS on behalf of The Defender's of the Realm looking for new talent. Erik Kairn who showcased powers eerily similar to Wayland the Smith. He was later inducted into AEGIS at the rank of Director of Legacy Operations, and was ordered to oversee the newly minted AEGIS Bureau of Legacy Operations which was created to oversee the recruitment of and the application of Legacies in AEGIS operations to support Defender's activity. Legacies would go on to serve in most major AEGIS operations, and could be found in most militarizes on Semita; however many people were prejudiced against legacy bearers considering the cost of life that gifted their power to the world.
