Expedition
Durin, future martyr of dwarven freedom would walk Semita for around 80 years before returning to the mountains of his birth to free his people from slavery.
Durin fleed the mountains of Eisenberghof and wandered Semita making his trade as a traveling minstrel and treasure hunter. In his time he became friends with Prince Artorias Graves( later known as Artorias the Ravenman) and a few other human traveling companions. Durin would learn of the freedoms enjoyed by the other races under Giant hegemony and began to question why it could be right to enslave his people, while so many others were not. Artorias and Durin's other companions ensured that Durin was never revealed to be a dwarf while traveling with them through the use of illusionary magic to make Durin look like a human who simply enjoyed the drink a tad too much. After many years of traveling with his friends and enjoying the world however Durin convided in his friends that he needed to return home. He had maped out several holdfasts of the Giant Empire rife for a slave rebellion and asked if any of them could offer aid for the fledgling Dwarven rebellion. Out of fear Durin's companions simply offered him whatever wealth they could spare and best wishes winning his peoples freedoms. At summers end Crown Prince Artorias offered Durin the chance to stay within the sanctuary of the Kingdom of Nabudis where he would soon be king thanks to his late father's assassination by his elder brother Artreus. But, Durin told Artorias that he could not bear to live in freedom while dwarves all around the world continued to live in slavery. Artorias seeing he could not convince his friend to abandon this, and lacking the courage to travel with him, bid Durin a fond farewell and escorted him to the Nabudis border, and parted ways for the last time. Durin would than return to Eisenberghof and march to his death singing a song of freedom, rallying his people to a cause that would topple an Empire.
