Arthur Barrett - Art

Arthur II is the eldest child and first born son of Elizabeth Barrett - Beth‌ and Arthur Barret.   He is also the father of one child although this fact has been concealed by the family. Arthur is a bit oblivious and shirks his responsibilities. Not out of any generally malicious intent but mostly because his father Arthur Barrett I‌ has neglected to teach him anything of great import. Although his mother has done her best to prepare him for the real world, aside from general manners and ensuring that he has a proper understanding of sports and received a good education, he doesn't think much of the finer points of managing a house.   He is fond of his sisters, and generally a good brother. His favorite sister being Grace Barrett‌ because she proves to be a pleasant companion. They often ride together, and in many of their favorite activities, they choose each other as companions.   Arthur finds certain events to be a rude awakening. He has no idea of finances as his father provides him with an adequate allowance. He makes the most of it as his choice of sport does not include gambling. He is not a stranger to the odd bet, but it is not a habit, and he is usually right about his choices. He does drink often, but not to excess. He does not have many friends, but his small close nit group frequent the same places. He does not chase skirts because he has a regular mistress who he sees in secret. He will accompany his friends to brothels, but not for any reason aside from their companionship.   His horse, a black station is easily recognizable, and he does not often use the carriage as he prefers to ride. Even in inclement weather, he'd rather take his horse anywhere. He can often be seen in a dark coat, collar turned up against the wind with a wide-brimmed hat pulled down snuggly over his ears.
