Glitched
Within the Rhizome Zone, there is highly advanced technology being used to cause the realistic effects that are produced within the Rhizome. This technology connects to the brain and can cause mental and physical damage to those who are affected by it if not connected properly. If a person is disconnected from the system abruptly, they can become glitched. this will affect their avatar within the simulation, but it can also affect their true physical body.
This technology is dangerous and can cause siezures. It can also cause people who seem otherwise undamaged to become confused in the real world, losing the ability to discern reality from fiction. they may begin stalling or freezing as they try to gather their thoughts. they may also constantly make more mistakes without being able to completely control their functions and movements due to brain damage.
Some people who are glitched begin resembling Androids when they are affected by RootRot. This is suspected by some to be a cause of the human brain slowly being transformed , thus turning the individual into a cyborg which the organization blatantly denies.
"Such a process is impossible, especially by accident. Such procedures must be fully intentional to be conducted properly." at this comment, many had even more questions, but these were blatantly ignored.
A glitched human's brain can begin to deteriorate at an accelerated pace. Their mental capacity may also deteriorate. It is said that some Rhizome Zone experiments have been conducted on animals, but the majority of animals in the simulation are fully controlled by the computer and not an outside source, unless a human has imported their data into an animalistic avatar. this can also cause problems for a human that exits the experience. Some have been known to forget human function, but these are simply more rumors.
