Personal history
Having been adopted and raised in a strict, conservative household after the death of his parents, Artimo had been mistreated by this newfound family, and even endured religious trauma.
He found solace in reading and learning about the history and impact of revolutionary movements and figures, as well as engaging with the punk subculture in his hometown in secret.
He was later disowned after confronting his foster family, and while looking for a new home found his uncle, who was a veteran and a frontman for the band, To All My Sons.
He befriended another young man that his uncle took in from similar circumstances, and despite having a rocky relationship, forged an ironclad fraternal bond that endured throughout the years.
He joined his uncle's band and it was from there when he finally learned to play music, after listening to his favorite songs and punk musicians.
The underground bar was raided by some of his uncle's fellow veterans, blowing up the whole establishment, killing him.
He dropped out of college to fully support his found family as well as to heal, althought those were his darkest times, descending to certain vices and facing intense traumas.
Becoming the new frontman of the band, and renaming it to Fourth Degree, he had slowly moved past some of the pain he endured, and was making plans to make his dream of becoming a fighter pilot come true.
He studied at the Mihanese Aeronautical Defense Academy, learning all the skills required for a Blazar Corpsman.
After all his training, during which he also fought in a number of low orbit and lunar operations, he became an Orbital Flight Officer, patrolling the space between the moons and his home world and protecting the interests of the World Council and any prospects of expansion and societal progress.
Sexuality
He has no actual gender preference and had a tumultuous love life before Jelena Dubravko, including a preppy college sophomore, a rock drummer, a college football player, a former sailor, a washed-up actor, and a fellow Astral aviator.
Education
He studied in Apollinario University for a science degree for two years before dropping out to fully lead his band Fourth Degree
Another two years later, he continued his education in the same university under the new Western Astral Corps program. Lasting 4 years, he underwent standard military training and even served for a few years as a Mihanese Marine fighter pilot before being qualified to transfer to the Corps.
Employment
While studying under the Blazar Corps program, he served as a Marine for 4 years, undergoing intense training for aerial and astronomical combat alike, among other By the time he was deemed eligible to join the Blazar Corps, he was ranked First Sergeant.
He was the frontman (lead vocalist and bassist) for the band Fourth Degree (formerly To All My Sons) after previous frontman Haron Desterros' death.
He served as a reserve Orbital Flight Officer, where on certain operations he was called in to fly to the interplanetary space to rescue stranded astronauts and passengers, fight off belligerent alliances, among other instances.
The highest rank he achieved was Major, and turned down other opportunities for furthering his military career, if any were offered by his superiors due to having formed a reputation for being an occasional "hotshot hero". He instead became an aeronautical combat instructor for future Corpsmen after 2 and a half decades as a reserve fighter pilot.
Mental Trauma
He witnessed the harms of a strict, conservative lifestyle. After the death of his parents, he was taken in by his grandparents and cousins which he despised. Religious dogma and outdated beliefs were constantly bombarded in his way throughout his late childhood, and was obviously banned from engaging with or indulging in certain media and activities, let alone getting along with certain peoples; Verocians, Plutonids, and Sirenoids especially.
The worst memory came from a religious ceremony; a branding ceremony, where a child who had come of age was branded, marked with the eye of Anitus, a symbol of eternal piety and servitude to the god of light and virtue. It had awakened his fire powers too soon, and had to suppress them as a teen via medication, which led to another set of issues that hindered the development of his emotional maturity and such.
He had intense fits of rage as a teen, resulting in several incidents that got him in trouble with the law and school administrations. Partly due to the medications, but he had reached his breaking point with the family he hated.
He witnessed the death of his uncle, whom he had only known for a few years yet loved him dearly. He could not bear the fact that he helped destroy the bar where he and his newfound family lived in, and his life spiraled out into the darkness, and almost went suicidal.
