Stronghold of Aqua

Originally, the underground fortress served as a place to hide from the tropic storms or Aqua, but as the settlers began to militarize they turned it into a armory. It also housed the early settlers for three years during a great storm that destroyed the buildings of Aqua. Additionally, it served as the workplace of many blacksmith who worked with the blackstones used to fight the arcane beasts of the island.

Long ago, a group of humanoids fled the Scorchlands fearing the power of Gregor, the God of Chaos who sought to take control of the Material Plane. They went on to form the Northern Isles, a group that lived in isolation from each other but would aid each other when called upon in the event of an invasion. The humans and other hybrid races would work to build the village of Aqua which quickly began to build weapons from the blackstone deposits of the island. In order to store these objects to keep them out of the hands of the evil, a stronghold was built and guarded by the most elite of the island.    When Elustria, a champion of Ultribar, fled the main continent in order to hide from her misdeeds and mourn the loss of her family she stumbled upon the village of Aqua. She offered to protect the island so long as they would not tell those looking for her of her location. Though she tried to hide, a group of Ultbarian assassin mages infiltrated Aqua and tracked down Elustria to the stronghold where she resided. They petrified her in the stronghold which has now been converted to a sacred final resting place of their protector.
