Session 13: Searching for Scrotum

In the middle of a giant snowstorm, the party is forced to finish their trek to Stratum in search of allies against the giants. They finally make their way into the city and split off, some in search of the local gossip and some looking to do research at the library. As soon as the party spread out, they noticed that the Gauntlet, a once powerful organization, was now a group of defeated and exhausted soldiers.
Steve, Clamente, and Gar Gar investigated the roots of the organization, and found various tactical strategies involving mounts, formations, and sieges. Meanwhile, Harold and Dong went to the local tavern hoping to learn more about the current situation in Stratum. They were told by General Flint that the Gauntlet had faced defeat after defeat for ten years, consistently being bested by Ramses the Punisher. Ramses is a fierce ice giant that would appear to destroy the Gauntlet whenever they made progress in liberating a settlement. Flint told the party to meet with him so they could discuss payment and the siege.
Due to the fact that Dirt, the giant ruling over Lowry, is a weaker member of the All Father's arsenal, Flint was confident in the Gauntlet's abilities to help the party. The party paid 2,500 gp to him for 200 soldiers, a keg launcher, 3 catapults, five mamoths, and 270 prostitutes.
On their three day treck, Harold grew a plant that can fight with him, Lacrosse spent more time spirit training, and Clamente was told that there are actually multiple Shadar-Kai that have been sent by the Raven Queen. When they arrived to the village of Lowry, a swarm of Hippogriffs attacked the army. The beasts were only a distraction to keep the party from entering into the settlement. Steve was launched into the village by keg while the others rode in on Mamoths.
The battle against Dirt was quick, and the party dispensed of him with little to no trouble, especially with the aid of the army firing shots at the giant. Clamente attempted to make peace with Dirt, but in the end the giant was too stubborn to see reason and instead summoned Ramses. As he fell, the winter storm that had followed the party for weeks suddenly reemerged, setting the stage for their next fight.
