Session 10: The Rites of Luna
General Summary
After winning the Goblin Dash, the party is told by Big Mac that the next morning King Krieg will award them with champions medalions so they need to be sure they are there for the medal ceremony. The party knew that this would be their main chance to try to ask Krieg to help them kill Dirt. Additionally, they felt the urge to go attend the rites of the Harvest at the church to Solar.
On their way to the rites the party noticed an individual tailing them from the alleyways. Gar Gar and Donglongius were able to keep up with the bandits who led them into a room filled with lantern oil where they were locked in the dark. Dong and Gar Gar did try and find the door but unfortunately they were unable to due to the darkness.
Meanwhile, Steve and Clamente ran into Bong-O, a former hero of Lowry who seemed to have his eyes glossed over with some magical gray film. He was unresponsive even when Clamente tried to intimidate him. In response for poor etiquite at the rites, Clamente was given a torch and forced to go into the room with lantern oil, combusting the room and trapping the three party members in a firey box.
Donglongius broke through the door while Clamente and Gar Gar called out for Steve who followed their cries into the basement of the church which was connected to the sewers. A fight then began where Gar Gar trapped himself in the church to distract the guards in the church from joining the fray. In the sewers/basement, Donglongius took out a few grunts and Steve charged immediately into the main chamber where a cult of giant loyalists were conducting some sort of ritual.
After a long fight, the ritual was completed but the knights and mages were killed. A ball of bright arcane energy rose from the ground and in an attempt to stop it, Clamente charged head first into it. He was knocked unconscious as a huge burst of energy swept through the room leaving the party to have to dispell the magic.
