Mono

Once a powerful quasi-diety who was worshipped by the cyclops of the Material Plane, Mono now resides in the Astral Plane. He was created by the giants at the order of Gregor before the Great God Wars in the hopes of creating a weapon capable of ruling the mortals. Since he was made by impure gods however, Mono was born only having one eye. After being sent to the Material Plane, he used the rubble from the crater where he landed to build other cyclops. Mono sent some of his worshippers out to enslave the nearby humanoids while the rest constructed a crude temple to him.    The cyclops remained fierce warriors that even began to push their attacks off their native continent in search of new knowledge. Mono was a intelligent diety and sought to become more wise, valuing mental superiority as well as physical superiority. This lead to the founding of Cyclopum, a settlement based in the crater that was built using the enslaved humanoids. Eventually, Mono decided to release the humanoids, hoping to learn from them and possibly create an alliance. Some humanoids decided that working with a diety would benefit them and quickly forgave Cyclopum and began working alongside the cyclops.   When the time had finally come for the Great God Wars to begin however, Mono defied Gregor and the other Giants, saying that he would not hurt the humanoids. Solar caught wind of this and sought out Mono hoping that he would fight alongside her and the other good gods to give them a fighting chance against the giants. Mono debated for a long time but said that he would only protect and not attack, saying that seeking violence went against the creed of Cyclopum.    One day however, in the year -63, the fight was brought to Cyclopum, who were holding off any advances into the Material Plane by Gregor's forces. A planar portal was opened, releasing a fleet of demons that the Cyclops were able to combat well. Mono fought alongside the army though none of the demons stood much of a chance against him. In the chaos, Gregor crept to the Cyclops God and gave him one last chance to switch sides. When Mono rejected it, Gregor fought his creation, and after defeating him, had a group of demons bring him back to the Outer Planes.   With Mono gone, Gregor cursed the Cyclops by taking their intelligence and wisdom while ridding Mono from their memories. By time Mono came to, he found that he was stripped of many of his powers and most if not all of his followers. With his powers gone, Gregor had successfully defeated him and banished him to the Astral Plane where he would be stuck permanantly. Now Mono lays and tries to communicate with the Material Plane as well as protecting the other dead gods from the Gith who seek to finish them off.
