Grey Orc

Grey Orcs were once cave dwellers who have risen from the deserts of Hal Varti. Much of the sky is blacked out by the volcanic clouds of Dorin. This blackout of the sun makes it easy for the cave dwellers to make a living above the surface.

Biological Traits

Grey Orcs have what is known as "Darkvision", giving them the ability to absorb light from dark areas to see perfectly fine within a limited distance. This is offset by their oversensitivity to light. Raw daylight is too harsh if not harmful to their vision.

Facial characteristics

Facially, they are skeletal and angular. Orc ears are pointed, though short and downward. Two rows of teeth, a crunching as well as a biting row. There are almost always teeth missing. Hair can be black, grey, white, red, green, or silver. It's normally long and greasy. Their eyes are starch black, white, or a bluish silver.

Naming Traditions

Names often have a necromantic sound to them. Even if they are not given to a necromancer. Think of necromancy and voodoo. Last names are often titles earned, be it of their own accomplishment of one given. They are often in common as so many can understand that accomplishment.

Common Dress Code

Grey Orcs enjoy finer clothing or anything to present well being. Most particularly, grey orcs love rings. Rings simply feel powerful to wear, even when they do not hold any magical properties.
Grey Orcs have brought with them the fashion that is most common in the Hal Varti. Men wear hooded robes, silks, loose collarless shirts, trousers, and loincloth. Women wear similar clothes with the inclusion of shawls and bodices. Traditional grey orc clothing has heavy embroidery.

History

At some point, the orcs of ages prior delved down into the endless caverns of Doukutsu. For centuries they stayed there. In the darkness, they made a kingdom, fought for survival, and created a new way of life. This became a cycle to a point that the grey orcs forgot what the sun looked like.
It was near the middle of the 3rd age that the grey orcs resurfaced. Using the veil of smog that covered the Hal Varti as protection, they created an isolated kingdom between hospitable locations. unique trade opportunities from those who live underneath arise and what was a lethal desert have become a trade center of the world.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Grey Orcs tend to see the world and to that extent the creatures living in it, as tools to be utilized. They will treat their tools well if the tools stay sharp but if a better tool arises or if one becomes too dull, they often do not have qualms moving on.
They do acknowledge the more intelligent races such as the o'doule and mechan as something as equals. Homunculi can be up there as well but they need to be known and show their worth first.
They have animosity with their cousins, the sun orcs. While they are thick-skulled and short-tempered, they are also fierce and persistent. Near the opposite of a grey orc.

Average Height
Males and females have the same height range. Starting around 5 feet, they can be slightly over 6 feet. When they are not in a hunched position they are a little under 7 feet.

Males and Females weigh around 150 lbs on average
Average Physique
Grey orcs are named by the color of their skin. While they are born green, their skin mutes over time, giving them a dark and sometimes even a lightish grey complexion.   In terms of physique and posture, they are near skeletal with a heavy hunch. Most of their muscle is in their back which results in them almost hunchback looking. Fingers are longer and thinner than other races. Additionally, they have another joint at the tip of their fingers.
