The Faewood
The largest forest in the world, these bountiful woods is where the Faefolk, High Elves and Wood Elves make their homes. It's also host to a large population of Druids, who have made small settlements that dot its landscape. While the Faewood may seem like a regular forest, but nothing could be more of a misconception: the area is rich in magical energy, which flows more consistently and stronger then anywhere else in the world. This has resulted in flora and fauna mutating in relatively odd ways, resulting in some species unique to the Faewood.
Geography
An enormous mass of trees and plants, using a mountain as its east border. It is largely a mass of trees and bushes, yet some magical plants and sentient venus flytraps can also be found here. Adventurers would do well to stay on alert for the latter, as these plants mostly target larger mammals: they would not be above attacking travelers who happen to wander within their attack range.
All kinds of woodland animals call the forest their home, including badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, rabbits, squirrels, mice, bears and wolves. Adventurers can be caught off guard by the dryads guarding the trees, and can meet an ent if they're lucky. Merfolk make their homes in the lakes: one would do well to not approach them without auditory protection, as their song is a form of mind control to lure the unsuspecting adventurer to their doom.
