Sayen's Tomb

A dark crypt in Prylea, near Sayen's old house. While the Necromancer's body lies dormant, his phylactery is still stored somewhere, unknown to the general public.   It's said that his soul is still contained in that phylactery, resting for the day that evil will rise again... Should another calamity such as the Cult Crisis happen again, the College of Wanderers is sure to investigate this.

Purpose / Function

A memorial for the hero Sayen, who defeated Xander Ivoryvale.

Architecture

The crypt is built in a Dark Elf style of architecture, to honor the hero's heritage. It has high, pointy ceilings, and a similarly shaped roof. The front of the roof holds a decorative scorpion, as is customary for the folk of the Underground.   The crypt itself has a hidden door, the lever hidden in a coffin in the center of the room. To the public, this coffin is Sayen's final resting place. But to the College, this is merely the entry to the true crypt: it opens up a fake wall at the back of the crypt, revealing a staircase to an underground hallway. Winding hallways full of undead guardians are rpesent to deter those with impure intentions, but they are sure to allow those sent by the College to pass.   These hallways eventually lead to a grand room full of coffins, with one larger one on a slightly raised platform. It's centered on a symbol of a scorpion: this is Sayen's true resting place. It merely lies dormant: his phylactery is still in an unknown place... The undead within the coffins are sure to rise should one walk into this room, but they merely do so in a form of greeting to those seeking Sayen's aid to defeat a great evil. Opening Sayen's coffin should rouse his soul from his centuries-long slumber within his phylactery, causing his body to rise once more.
