The discovery of the Inverted Pyramids

Traveling to the largely unoccupied Southern Regions including the Akhet Dessert. Here the settlers discover the first magical monument, the inverted pyramids. Due to their study into physics, the pyramids are concluded to be impossible, leading to the conclusion that there was another force in play on the structures.   The Sotarians now learn of a new place of scientific inquiry: magic.
