Moons of Savinaru
Savinaru is orbited by four moons, believed to have come from Pyratos blasting a celestial body on a collision course with Savinaur to smithereens during the world's creation.
Kuladra
The largest and most prominent moon, Kuladra exerts the most influence over Savinaru. The tides move at its command, with the other three gently nudging at best. Lunar months are judged based on Kuladra’s orbit. Whenever a culture worships a moon deity, they are almost always said to be on Kuladra.
Elamsha
Elamsha has a thin atmosphere, allowing for the growth of a strange blue lichen found nowhere on Savinaru. No one knows how the lichen got there or how it grows, but it is the basis for a miniature lunar ecosystem. Due to the low limit of the atmosphere, nothing is bigger than a housecat. Despite the limitations, Elamsha hosts a variety of lifeforms that are alien to Savinaru. This strange world in miniature is only known about because of a harpy mage who asked a simple question: “How far up can I go?” After flying as far as her wings could take her, she used her magic to push further. This process took many attempts, and nearly cost her life a couple times, but through perseverance and a lot of magical power, she landed on Elamsha. In recognition of this impressive feat, her name was given to the moon, overtaking the names it previously had.
Unghiskir
Unghiskir has the appearance of some sort of creature, like a petrified beast floating through the sky. This strange shape has led cultures across the ages to create myths of what that creature was. Was it some marauding beast encased within the asteroid? Was it some noble hero placed in the heavens upon their death? Maybe it was an earth elemental who went rogue and was flung into space as punishment. Whatever the truth, its odd shape certainly tickles the imagination. What was Unghiskir when it was alive? Was it ever alive?
Galidau
Sometimes called the Witch Moon or the Ritual Moon, Galidau is known for its influence on magic. When Galidau rises, magic becomes more potent but more fluid. The laws of magic are more flexible, allowing great and powerful spells and rituals to be cast.
