Talon

"Keep nothing in your house that is neither needed or beautiful."

--Mantra of the Pillared Priory.

Talon is the largest settlement in the known world. Long before a sailor sees the capital of the Second Jeriec Empire, they will see the magnificent statues towering above the Carnelian Bay. These are the twin soldiers, depicting the Emperor of Shyr, the first Emperor, and the last Grand Magistrate of the Noocratic Magocracy that was Erinion. Both of these figure's names were lost to the ages, but their spears form the symbolic gate to enter Talon. They are the transition from the old Empire of Erinion to the Empire of Jeria, as the last ruler of the previous empire and the first ruler of the new empire.
--The Architect's system connects the mines to the rest of the city, allowing immediate construction.
Talon itself is a jagged city built through the mountains, forming a bastion with natural defenses that allowed them to survive any offensive, and even attacks from below were turned into victories, such as in the Raiding of Hell. Mountains of the King's Spine and the King's Crown form walls and divisions in the city. It is through a very complicated system that Tarkn'nox the Architect fabricated moves materials and supplies throughout the city, using pulleys, aqueducts, bridge-rivers, tamed beast labor, gravity, and heat from powerful forges stoked by Tartetian dragonflame. All this together forms a connected city that is constantly in an orderly motion. Talon is efficient, and efficiency is key to the Stratocracy that is the Empire.
--Jerian life is not all war and bloodshed. This Spa in Talon utilized varied means of relaxation, from Essence baths to cyclical sensory removal and stimulation.

The fire must not go out, not ever. So long as the machine continues it's labor, the Empire shall prosper.

Population:
