Gutrope

Gutrope is a large area of grassy steppe home to many nomads and tribes of different races. Orcs, goblinoids, wild elves (once known as wood elves), and more consider Gutrope their home.   Herd animals are a common sight in Gutrope, typically traveling and grazing in large groups. Joro and aurochs are some of the most frequent and populus animals here, herded and hunted by the nomads there.

Geography

Gutrope is a flat plateau bordered by mountains. Much of its area is dusty, cracked ground blanketed by hardy wildgrass. The grass is often stiff and bristly, sometimes sporting spines and thorns. The grazing animals of this region are adapted to eat these grasses, with specialized digestive tracts and stomachs as well.

Localized Phenomena

Gutrope and the Hivelands get more rainfall than the central wasteland. The plateau is known for its spectacular thunderstorms during the spring, but it dries up during the summer. This lack of water leads to dry thunderstorms and wildfires, leaving swathes of charred ground in their wake.
Demographics   Gutrope hosts a wide variety of tribes and nomadic herders. Roving tribes of orcs and half-orcs search for honorable battle and seek glorious death in the eyes of their brutal gods. Utilitarian, stoic wild elves and their half-elf kin do whatever they have to do to survive. And goblinoids rustle livestock from one another, as herd size determines wealth for them.   Other races also exist here, in smaller numbers. Aarakocra from the Ngari Mountains can occasionally be seen overhead, and adventurers coming back from the Hivelands will sometimes travel through Gutrope on their way back to civilization.
