Outer Wall & Gatehouse

Rising from the rock-filled earth the outer walls of Abercast rest their watchful eyes towards the inland horizon. The walls have deteriorated since their construction but since the rebirth of Abercast, the walls have undergone massive rebuilding and now stand as the first layer of defence against those that wish to harm the city.  

The Highgate

Bridging between the two walls that form the layers of protection a raised wall form the path between the outer and inner walls. This is known as the Highgate and on both ends, a raising bridge can interrupt the path and make it harder for attackers. On the middle of this path a set of stairs and a lift leading down to The Iron Works.  

Inner Wall & Gatehouse

Built after the initial recapture of Abercast, it was built as a secondary line of defence to protect the inner city from attacks, both living and unloving. While this wall is built from exquisite materials it has never been breached through force, but once a minor incursion stormed The Highgate and slaughtered a small group of people.
