Education
Cassandra received a basic education from her parents, but she has gained the majority of her knowledge independently from her ancestors' books and simple trial-and-error. She also briefly studied magic under Eron Sole before adopting Hex as her long-term tutor.
Employment
Cassandra has been in and out of the work over the years as circumstances have required her to move from town to town. Her empathetic and alchemical magic grants her natural skill as a healer, and her services were extensively requested in her hometown and Shadewell before the townsfolk discovered the source of that skill. Currently she holds the position of the sole healer in Redwyrm, and the townsfolk that do suspect magic turn a blind eye for the sake of her value to the small settlement.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Although Cassandra often doesn't realize it, her actions have saved dozens of lives, including those that are not her patients. Little does she know that she will play a major role in shaping Sala's future.
Failures & Embarrassments
When she was 17, Cassandra failed to correctly diagnose a patient, and he died of the mysterious illness. This event is the spark that ignited the accusations of witchcraft from her neighbors and sent her into years of hardship and isolation. Shunned from the human world, she attempted to find a place in the magical world and made her way to the hidden village of Skar at 19. There the all-magical inhabitants refused her admittance and forced her to live on the outskirts with Eron and Hex, the other outcasts. When she was 20, she successfully integrated back into the human world through the community at Redwyrm, but just as she was beginning to belong with her new family, her friend Elis was attacked by a chimera. Cassandra succeeded in killing the chimera but failed to heal Elis, and her friend died within the hour.

Like the other residents of Caligo, Cassandra treats magic as a taboo topic, although out of self-preservation rather than fear. She also refuses to discuss her parents.

Hobbies & Pets
Cassandra used to have a pet raven named Branwen, but he died of old age. While not a pet, a wild unicorn from the forests around Redwyrm visits her frequently. She enjoys reading to it and the other local magical beings in her free time. Sometimes the fairies drag her into a dance, although she only participates with highly vocal complaints.
Speech
While relatively well-educated and not necessarily coarse, Cassandra's speech aligns with that of the Caligan commoners. There are aspects of a faint twang and drawl to her accent that are clearer when she is relaxed or speaking quickly. She intentionally speaks in a more refined manner in more formal settings but rarely maintains the effort for long periods of time. She also has a tendency to swear and use heavy sarcasm, especially when irritated, and has a strong proclivity for using metaphors in explanations and storytelling.
